I'd become interested in Sunderland a few years prior, my grandad had made sure of that. We went to the match with my cousins and uncle. The stadium of light atmosphere was something I'd never experienced before. When Chopra put home the winner, we all jumped up and down. Will never forget that experience with them, particularly my grandad. I miss him deeply.

This was the first game as a Tottenham fan that I watched however I always follow Sunderland closely and miss seeing them in the premier league
Also most of these Tottenham players played for Sunderland after :)
Chimbonda, Tainio, Malbranque, Bent, and Defoe - all on the Spurs team sheet and all went to play on for Sunderland.

Even the shit teams had good players then . You look at half the prem teams now and I couldn’t name more than two players
