  • A short section of a lecture given by Varshabhanavi d.d ISKCON Harish, Israel
"It is the natural place to live in, in the heart of God.
And that's what Krishna offers us. He says here: the soul is in me,
deep within my heart. Everyone is in Him.
Now, there is nothing outside of God
There is also nothing beyond Him.
Therefore, one cannot blame Him for being in need.
Sometimes people say: What? God needs us?
Or some often say: What kind of God needs relationships?
But when we say that God needs --
need is for something outside of ourselves. But for Krishna, there is nothing outside of Him.
There is nothing outside of God. So, it's not that He needs,
rather, He expands Himself into many, to enjoy.
We are Him, and, not Him, simultaneously.
We are Him, since there is nothing which is not Him.
And at the same time, we are not Him. We have free will.
minutely, yet nonetheless, we have free will.
In order to enable relationships with God,
    To enable relationships.
So, there is rasa, relationships, which is a point
    that characterizes the Bhakti philosophy
And in order to allow rasa, there is a very deep philosophical principle
which is also unique to this philosophy,
And this principle is called in Sanskrit "acintya-bhedabheda-tattva",
or the truth of oneness and difference that inconceivably occur simultaneously.
So, in fact, in philosophical terms, everything is Him, and not Him.
So, everything is Him, that's on the level
of tattva, on a philosophical platform,
everything is Him and there is nothing outside of Him.
We cannot think of anything that is outside of God,
because He is everything, and everything is within Him.
At the same time, for the purpose of rasa,
For the purpose of relationships, He is also distinct from everything, and everything also has uniqueness,
to enable a relationship that satisfies and pleases Both Him, and us.."
