Such fond memories of being there that night, and specifically thinking how difficult this song looks to play on drums. Rest in peace, Taylor
🥲legendary
My favourite song purely for Taylor's drumming. So sad man.
Been a fan of foo’s for years and years. Got a ticket to see them in London in June. So gutted. Rip Taylor x
@@simoncrowther9415 Everlong was played by Dave Grohl ;)
@@PurpleJam430 How about live?
The start to this song is heaven
Yes yes yes
heavelong 😏
Perhaps It might be hell. Dude!
All of the song is heavy my guy
Dave has written some of the most iconic riffs and drum fills and beats. He's incredible.
Dave Grohl always seems so happy to be performing, it's really refreshing to see a famous artist genuinely enjoying himself on stage
I genuinely think he lives playing his songs. Let's face it most of them are amazing
Seems like he genuinely just loves been a rock star 😎
With the fact that he always comes off so happy to be performing, and the way he sometimes brings fans onstage to sing/perform along with the rest of the band AND gushes over them when they're actually great, is amazing. Foo Fighters in general, and Dave Grohl specifically, are absolute legends in my book. Plus, they fucking rock.
Dave wrote this song from a bad mental state. He was lonely and depressed, and came up with these chords and lyrics. And if you think of it, this turned from a song that came from a dark place, to a song that’s played to get out of that dark place. Now, he’s performing of upward to 300,000 people, and for millions of people, it is their happiness anthem. Crazy, went from a small band to playing stadiums.
'we don't really say goodbye, we just say this...'
RIP Taylor
Another drum legend gone way too soon. Keith Moon, John Bonham, Dennis Wilson and now Taylor, Rest in Rock and Roll heaven
joey jordison🥲
If that is the complete list it's not that dramatic huh
Makes me FURIOUS that this entire concert was pulled from CZcams. I have this 3 hour set saved to my playlist and now it's been deleted.
Yeah made me furious
It's on BBC iPlayer.
Thank you, event looking for it, was my favourite video on CZcams and it just disappeared. I thought I'd gone crazy or imagined it. They did the same with Arctic monkeys Glastonbury 2007
@@aupaaupa2377 and Arctic monkeys glasto 2013 as well
You can find and download the whole soundboard recording on bootleg sites.
Best band in the world. Full stop. Seen them on every tour since late 90's.
Dave Grohl knows how to command an audience. You don’t see that very often these days.
after hearing this for a thousand times I still get crazy
Felt literal chills at the end when they all ran to the front of the stage. An absolutely legendary band throwing down an absolutely legendary performance. I sincerely hope the horrifically untimely passing of Taylor doesn't spell the end of the Foos, but if it does they have thoroughly earned their position amongst the greats of rock and roll. Rest easy Taylor
They have Josh Freese now.
Being in that crowd was on of the best nights of my life
They were seriously good.
i've watched this like 8 times already, and his screams give me goosebumps everytime, it's just majestic
I was there that night. It was the biggest crowd I’ve ever experienced.
Hundreds of thousands.
Sleep well Taylor Hawkins and thank you for all the great memories.
Shout out to Taylor for that amazing performance behind the drums!
Dude throws down
No offense but it's a simple rhythmic drumming on a regular basis
@@jaupolio right, but i think taylor's play are really amazing
@@jaupolio Yeah, but if you go back to 1997, Taylor had learned to lead the drums in front of thousands of people in about a week, on a lot of really complex songs (drum wise). Of course it's like second nature to him now. But this stuff isn't easy. And he always nails it perfectly.
Even more of a relevant comment now! RIP.
This song is so full of energy
I watch the Foo Fighters Glastonbury show often. I believe it to be how a rock show should be done. It’s just brilliant. I watch today with extreme sadness having learned that Taylor Hawkins has passed away. He played with enthusiastic energy giving each performance everything. It is such a tragic fact that today he went to his rest. A truly exceptional artist and good to his fans. Fame never got in the way of that . Of more importance he was a husband and father. Just 50 years old and gone. Christ almighty. ! He leaves us with a great legacy of music to remember him by. This is my favourite.
2:48 me every time Everlong plays when my phone is on shuffle
Grateful that Taylor was able to headline Glastonbury. RIP
I was lying in bed getting over a self inflicted illness and the 2017 Glastonbury Foo Fighters concert was amazing that it brought me from an all time low to feeling good about myself and the fucking cruel world we live in. Best Band in the world since the 1990s, to me the rest are British but I am naturally biased.
I went to this presentation.
a lot of lads 'n lasses who were very kind on letting a foreigner who travelled a few thousand miles to be at Glasto, to be with them... we were jamming all night to the Foos, and then, there was a couple right next to our group. At the time the Foos started to play 'Everlong' i rememeber the lad just stood on his knees and proposed his girlfriend to marry. A Glasto moment I will cherish forever in my heart
Wow that’s cool mate
this hits harder now that taylor died on the country where I'm from, hours before their headline show on a festival that goes every year here. I hope Taylor is resting easy knowing the massive inspiration as a person he's been to a whole generation 😭
this is the best live version of this song i've ever seen, i can't wait to see them live myself one day
I know , one day I’ll go too, hopefully next year , the Glastonbury looked great
Wembley Stadium, 2008. Hands down best live !
Foo Fighters are like therapy on another level especially this song 🤘🎸
I still get goose bumps when I think of this set, its now a bitter sweet memory. so glad I got to be there and witness such a set. After they left the stage we all stood there for ten minutes echoing everlong! would love it if anyone had footage of it.hope you are at peace Taylor.
The best experience to everlong by foo fighters after so many years
Legendary performance by the masters of ROCK.
This fucking song has saved my life thank you foo fighters ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Taking a bow at the end of the performance. Respect!
I love you guys. Sending love.
one of the greatest glastonbury headline sets ever!
I can't stop watching the videos... Dear Taylor, you will be utterly missed 🖤
I've never been so terribly sad for the pass away of a musician like I am today for Hawkins...
Come here today and listen to this song is so bittersweet...
Thank you for your music Hawkins Goodbye, and Farewell Foo Fighters.
I hope not farewell! Never.
Never say goodbye!
You were right! Foo are back!
You were right! Foo are back!
I dont think I've ever seen anyone attack a drum kit, in a completely controlled way, the way Taylor does. Ever.
Have you not seen Dave drum?
@@rogerblackburn5781 Dave is more of an uncontrollable animal on drums
@@camzilla_does_music834 he's more of a disco drummer
He has such a flair.
This was one of the best days of my life, the Foo's were just everything you wanted them to be and more. Rest in peace Taylor, you will be sorely missed by all.
This was a epic set that made me a new foo fighters fan they gotta be in the top 2 bands of the 2000 to 2020 they rocked the hell out of glasto
I'm just assuming radiohead is number one
arctic monkeys has to be 1 (or you’re just too american)
@@majorasmask_8288 im actually from london 😆 red hot chilli peppers up ther to on a American note
S Club 7 is definitely number 1 right?
@@majorasmask_8288 for a second i read she's American 😂
I love you forever, Taylor. Thank you for all the good times
Dear Taylor you were the beating heart of this band... things will never be the same without you... God bless your family and friends ❤️
One of the best bands ever!! 😊🥰
The best lvie performance I've seen at Glastonbury
Everytime everlong goosebumps
They never say goodbye, they just say this.............. R.i.p Taylor one of the best!
Hello
I've waited here for you
Everlong
Tonight
I throw myself into
And out of the red
Out of her head she sang
Come down
And waste away with me
Down with me
Slow how
You wanted it to be
I'm over my head
Out of her head she sang
And I wonder
When I sing along with you
If everything could ever feel this real forever
If anything could ever be this good again
The only thing I'll ever ask of you
You gotta promise not to stop when I say when she sang
Breathe out
So I can breathe you in
Hold you in
And now
I know you've always been
Out of your head
Out of my head I sang
And I wonder
When I sing along with you
If everything could ever feel this real forever
If anything could ever be this good again
The only thing I'll ever ask of you
You gotta promise not to stop when I say when she sang
And I wonder
If everything could ever feel this real forever
If anything could ever be this good again
The only thing I'll ever ask of you
You've got to promise not to stop when I say when
Still hits hard watching Taylor,😢
The Churnups❤
Whoever edited this video. Just wow. Straight up goosebumps. I hope I’m a part of a crowd for this song sometime in the near future.
Who else can’t wait to see the Foo Fighters live again? Let me know here👇
By the way, if you are interested to hear some new rock music, head over to my channel and let me know what you think of my songs. I know some people don’t like promotion in comments but for me it is the way to let people hear my music. Thanks a lot!
Me from Taiwan
I was supposed to see them at Osheaga this year 😭
Never seen them live-I’m waiting for the first time soon!!!!!!
they were supposed to go to my university in october but of course covid had to ruin that, but at least i got to see them on the broken leg tour
and this is why foo fighters are one of the greatest live bands of all time
Saw them on the Broken Leg tour at Murrayfield a few years back, would love to see them again especially at somewhere like Glasto!
I was there also bro. Wouldn’t mind Hampden ha!
Should have came down to smmr sessions 2019 that shows kicked ass
How true these lyrics were at the time - love you Taylor x RIP Darling
This was a superb night. Waited for a long time for them to be at Glastonbury and they played until they couldn't play any more. Superb
to wake up and read that Taylor has gone is such a terrible news. But to hear this song loud is perhaps the best tribute that everyone could do at home and also to watch this video that all of us remember Taylor as one of the best drummer that rock could give. R.I.P Taylor
Damn Covid, I really miss rock concerts!!!
Back when we could have nice things before we all got grounded
I cant believe he's gone,rip darling Taylor
Now that's how you ROCK concert
Will continue to watch this over and over ❤ One of the best festival sets I've ever had the privilege to witness
RIP Taylor, you will be missed 💔😔
Taylor Hawkins you just made my day with those moves
Rip taylor , this concert was magnificent .
BANGIN’ F’N SONG!!! KEEP ROCKIN’ !!!! BOYZ
Ever Long and Learn To Fly, both take me back to my childhood in the 6th grade. In those days I thought I was so cool for listening FOO FIGHTERS, haha!! My late uncle got me into them.
Thought? Uh, you ARE cool for listening to Foo Fighters 🤘🏻
i'm so sad to hear of taylor's death. life is so short, and can change in an instant-- something beautifully evoked by this song. love to all his family and fans
Magical moments from a magical drummer
Love this band!
we will love you forever Taylor🥁.......RIP 😔
This is perfect
Love them sooo much ❤❤❤
My favourite band and my favourite song of them ❤
I don't understand why songs like these only get half a million views. - 24 year old guy.
After the recent statement from the band ''we don't say goodbye" is as true as ever, the best news to start 2023 with
Awesome on my knees what a band we want you back!
Kurt would be proud.
Everlong; it’s one of those songs! One of those songs which, regardless of which genre it becomes, it appeals to the greatest. It’s a classic! A classic because of Taylor’s Drumming. He was the hero. There goes my hero ❤️
7 yrs old and still feels like last summer
Great performance
Great night. Great band in my fave place in the world. Treasured memory. RIP TH.
RIP Taylor ❤️
REST IN PEACE TAYLOR ✌🙏THANK YOU 💙
Those hi hats never missed a beat
SAD DAY . RIP TAYLOR. Greatest of hope for his family and friends. Terrible loss.
Hawking is a beast, fucking power house. 👊🏽
😓
First time i caught the Foo's was at the Phoenix Festival 1996 just a year after their debut album was released. Just got better and better with age and not many acts around that can beat them live.
#BanthebloodyFlags
That's how you end a show 🤟💣💥 rest in peace Taylor
I remember when we sang it together...🤘rock buddy🤘🤘
Best drummer ever! What energy!! God bless you Taylor.
wonderful
Rest in peace taylor man. We all love you.
These guys are amazing!
This is such a great song.
The people in the front looking bored I would literally swap places with you in a heartbeat
This is where we cut our teeth! How adorable!
Beautiful
Like a human king charles spaniel 💖
Learnt this song in three weeks with a band i sang with 20 years ago . Played it at the Yarty party in devon this year : ) : ) we rocked it : ) : ) bloody good song
WHERE IS THE FULL CONCERT...? I have probably seen the full concert like 400 times and never getting sick of it.
I'm pretty sure the roadie or whatever passes Dave a joint as he walks off stage. He earned it.
Why can’t I get the 2017 live Glastonbury Foo Fighters on You tube. Maybe I got the year wrong because I thought I was 47 last October but I was 46. Gained a year. Always a bonus yeah. This Group has kept me alive and took me out of a dark place and back into the real world. Better late than never 👍
I love how Dave gets handed a lit spliff as he walks off stage. That's so badass, I wanna be a rockstar just for that moment right there 😂
Just about the beat song I’ve ever heard !!
Super group!!!
We are all here right now.
I remember seeing this played in Manchester. Helicopter supported. Maybe 2000 people give or take. I don't know but I wish they still played it like it was a new song. I still love it but I loved it then and I wish I could hear the early live version. This is as close as it gets I guess.
In my lifetime, Freddie Mercury, Randy Rhoads, David Bowie, George Michael and Taylor Hawkins guys for me that are such a loss to the world. Great musicians RIP guys
