I was learning about Islam first (as an atheist) and even tried reading the Quran and it seemed so GOOD and made so much sense, but! After a long long consideration and a lot of research, i came to a conclusion that ive ben FED lies, about Christianity, about Judaism, and about Islam and well, i became a Christian. I feel like, muslims are made to read the Quran and memorise it, but theyre never told to understand it. Same with the Bible, whenever i read it i spend good 30 minutes on one chapter sometimes trying to fully fully understand it. Apparently you can read the whole bible in around 70 hours? well ive been reading it for good 2 months now and studying it and didnt even get half way through (im reading every single book). Beautiful book.
I'm learning more myself. I've read the New Testament, and although I found contradictions and or changes or things I didn't understand, it didn't take away from the message, and my last thought were "hmmm... that's a good book, I can't fault it".
I'm diving deep into Islam and hopefully getting my hands on the Quran but I don't get why or how you can follow such a person as Muhammad tbh compared to Jesus. I've had a few back and forth with some Muslims and to me (jot to be rude), but it seems like common sense is running from them.
Islam is the biggest trust me, bro I have ever seen in my entire life their own. God affirms the apostles and in the book of acts and the gospels all contradict what Islam teaches yet they affirm those eyewitnesses but deny what they say it’s hilarious and they can’t claim the book of acts is “corrupted “because it’s not a gospel it’s 1st century church history of the eyewitnesses of Jesus and what they preached, and they all agree that Jesus is the son of God and is the author of life and rose from the dead and that the law of mosses isn’t necessary therefore Islam has been debunked by the eyewitnesses that they affirm lol😂
@RaniyaMinor I'm not a professional and have been studying for the past 6 months now, but with Islam, I see it as going backwards. It's like each covenant has evolved to be better, especially with the last, which is Jesus. Then, all of a sudden, 6 or 700 years later comes a religion that just goes against Jesus and a prophet with barbaric behaviour and conduct that it belongs or suits in prehistoric times, lol For example, if anything Muhammad (i dont believe hebis a prophet) should have been the first, then the rest follows. Like there shouldn't even be a thing of Sharia Law. Also, I don't think the religion is suited for black pp and women in general.
One of the biggest issues I had with Islam when I was looking into it was Allah very clearly not being wise and all knowing. Forget the obvious bad wrong science. You will always hear these Dawah guys claim the Torah and Injeel got cornuted and that's why God sent Muhammad. When you think about this, they're saying the all knowing and wise Allah, repeated the same thing over and over and over expecting a different result. That's not wisdom, that is the literal definition of insanity, I'm not kidding look it up. Furthermore how doesn't the all knowing, not know his book is going to get corrupted? If he did know, he repeated sending another middle man with a book anyway? Once again this contradicts the concept of wisdom.
Christianity is the opposite, the Torah didn't get corrupted, the Israelites lost their way as was prophesized they would in Isaiah 53. In other words God was all knowing, planned for that and came down himself instead of using another middle man. On this alone Christianity is more logical than Islam.

They fled when they were arresting Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane. Then it literally tells you right after that in Mark 14:54 that Peter followed from a distance. Context is important, it wasn’t about fleeing during the cross at all. The context is they didn’t want to be arrested like Jesus, persecuted, and put to death so they fled during that time. It’s why it specifies Peter staying and following from a distance because he fled from the scene to not be arrested but still followed from a distance. Then he gets accused of being a disciple and denies Jesus three times. Once Jesus is crucified the Holy Bible tells you who was at the crucifixion which was John, Mary, and others. Mary most likely wasn’t even at the last supper since no Gospel records her there, so she didn’t flee because she wasn’t even there.
This is like saying there was a birthday party and a swarm of bees came and all the guests fled. Then arguing that the writer had a contradiction in his story because days later the guests were back. Or arguing that it’s a contradiction because a guest went inside to not be stung, but it says he fled so how was he still at the party, when the context was that he fled from the bees not the entire country. It leaves out so much context. That Christian seems new to speaker’s corner. What I’ve learned is that when a Muslim quotes a scripture and says there’s a contradiction with another verse, go through and just read the entire context of what they are quoting. 90% of the time it’s such an obvious lie that’s all it takes.

There is recognition from the days of St Athanasius, who declared it, that the new testament cannon we have in the Catholic Church is the correct one. The other ones state radically different things (2 Gods, Jesus had a family, Arian heresy, etc.)

If their stories match exactly the story is false. If the stories all generally agree but have alight personal details different the story is most likely true.
If you take 50 students on an excursion and ask them to write a report of what they have seen, they won't write the same thing. Each student may emphasize what's important to him or what he finds interesting. There's no way they'll be exactly the same. Their are no contradictions in the new testament as there are four separate main Gospel writers who were recording for the new and emerging faith the ministry of Jesus christ these were not recorded like modern police statements. Muhammad was no witness to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ or his ministry yet people would and still sadly believe him. I would rather believe Matthew,Mark,Luke,*John* and *Mark* as well as St Paul and even Timothy. They were written within the timeframe and not a full six centuries after the events. Muhammad obviously never met Solomon or David on his journey to the 7th heaven either, for he would have told his sahaba that they were anointed kings and not prophets. ‘They all forsook him and fled’ in Mark 14:50 refers to that limited group of people that were with Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane and fled from there on that night. There is no contradiction with Mark 15:40 where women who had followed Jesus from Galilee were present at the crucifixion during the day. These women were not in the Garden the previous evening and so had not fled.
Didn't the time when "they all forsook Him" was when Jesus was betrayed by Judas in the garden? And the part where Mary or John standing near was during Jesus' crucifixion? And then he's using these verses as a contradiction when they aren't because they're just events that happened in different times. Hmm.
The Ethiopian bible is 5th century. He is speaking about the Council of Niceaa 4th century, which was not about the formation of the Bible.

The scripture he gave in mark chapter 14 was the passage that said judas was paid to deliver Jesus to the jews by the Roman's. As one of the faithful drew a sword and cut off the ear of the high priest nephew Jesus said that he was with them and asked why he cut off his ear. Then as the Roman soldiers gathered around Jesus to take him they all at that time walked away from him. Because judas was only paid to betray Jesus the other believers would have been murdered as warmongers and not faithful in the spirit that he was teaching them. Jesus told them that he must be sacrificed and was showing them that God was doing things for him to keep his promise that was spoken of in all the old testament. They stayed his disciples they just did not fight an entire army in the name of Jesus because Jesus himself wasn't fighting to live. Because his life is in our Heavenly Father not in our skin. Read Roman's chapter 8 whomever this Muhammadan is. Because you limit God in everything even though the quran states Jesus is Christ and messiah and he has the spirit of God in him.
