@rickbangkok Yes, listen to his talks. I was in a very bad place when I found Ajahn Brahm also. One night things were so bad that I couldn't sleep, eat, read or do anything, my mind was all over the place and I just wanted to stop thinking and sleep, but I couldn't. So I went online at 5am and googled 'peace of mind'. Ajahn Brahm had a talk of peace of mind and I thought, no way I'm listening for a whole hour, but I'll try it out. I ended up listening to 2 talks, actually smiling at the end..

Even better, applying these wise teachings to my thoughts and mind helps me overcome. These talks are an absolute blessing. Thank you.

Thank you today and always Ajahn Brahm for helping me let go and forgive a man and to forgive myself when I thought it wasn't possible to move on and be free from this burden that has cost me so much suffering.

I love the way Ajahn Brahm tells stories as if it were the first time he's told it. And although I've heard many, I still get a new perspective on them. Much appreciation for uploading these wonderful talks.

Your talks are the beacon of my life. I have always gained some useful insights from your talk. These serve as important reminders as I journey in this life. Life is hard enough. Your talks act like lubrication which serve to reduce the pain when life roughs me up.

I had a similar experience with my dad. His dad was abusive in the same way. He improved and I continued the trend towards compassion towards my kids. I never knew what my dad went through til later. We all do the best we can . We strive to learn from mistakes that were made.

Admit your mistakes. Learn from them so you don't do it again. Relax, open up, be kind and compassionate. You may see it as the end, but when things are difficult with no way out, don't look at the bad things. It is only a matter of time before you see the light and things get better for you. Challenges are there to help make us stronger...I am really happy to have subscribed to these videos. I am going through a not so righteous time in my life and having watched these talks, they are helping me grow...helping me mature. I have always been beating myself up whenever, I hurt someone I love. The most recent event is this year. I really regret what I have done... and how badly I hurt the only woman i have ever loved. Now, with tears in my eyes, i admit my wrong...I accepted that I made a mistake. I hope she will find it in her heart to give me trust once more and allow me to show her that I won't make that mistake ever again. I won't hurt her ever again. I realize more than ever how much I love her and I know more than ever how much I need her. Please pray for me and my love.

... of it and went to sleep peacefully. It wasn't a sudden, miracle cure but listening to him and trying to understand his teachings and incorporate them in to my own life has helped me heal much quicker, so I'd have been crazy by now. It depend what the nature of your problem is, or how bad it is, but yes, from my experience, these talks do help! Listen to them regualrly and try to incorporate the teaching in to your life. I hope you get out of your bad place soon! :)

A powerful video. Ajahn Brahm's wisdom never ceases to amaze me. I was wondering, how might people move forward, when the pain is inflicted by a complete stranger? In the examples of the child murders in Norway or 9/11, the people who committed the crimes were at least known, so we have ways to learn what made them hurt others, rehabilitate them, and try to see their human qualities. However, what if a person never uncovers the identity of who harmed them? If a woman is raped for example, and the perpetrator never found, what technique should she use to progress after the assault?

"F is for friends.....who do stuff together"...(song lyrics)
Well most of the younger generation will relate to this song, it is a song, on tv cartoon Sponge Bob, about converting someone who is mean to someone who is good through friendship.....and consequently your title "F is for Forgiveness" will definitely bring this to the minds of most youth in a good and happy way. :) It is the F.U.N. song on youtube

@HelloMellowed I respect your opinion. There's one thing I would like to say though and that is that in life, from what I've seen, people are looking for happiness. It helps me to reflect while I'm doing something and after I've done something in the short and long term whether or not that action has made me happier and less stressed or whether it has caused more suffering. I prefer to look at revenge from that point of view. I find in the end it calms me down.

To suggest that the families of the murdered on 9/11 should be grateful to Osama bin Laden for killing their loved ones goes too far.
It's proper to forgive him and those responsible but to be thankful for their actions???
