A Gyrocopter - also known as an autogyro or gyroplane - is an aircraft that optically resembles a helicopter. Contrary to a helicopter, a gyrocopter also features a propeller that provides forward thrust. And unlike a helicopter, the gyrocopter‘s rotor is not engine-powered during flight, but merely passively powered by airstream that results from the forward propulsion. This is the so-called autorotation.
Because of their lightweight and compact construction, gyrocopters are classified as light sport aircraft, which leads to considerable cost advantages of flight operations and to obtaining a pilot license.

Ys, it is very nice and stable on the ground, where some others have a narrower wheelbase.
Look great. I would prefer the enclosed cockpit like this for all weather flying.

Commercial gyro's have a place in aviation and should have been the bridge between rotor and fixed wing all along

Very nice looking, however, at :22 I see a very brief glimpse at the cabin & control sticks while flying. What I see appears to be oscillation & vibration of both sticks. That wouldn't be very much fun, would it? Is this common to auto-gyros?
Nice video. Dan, listen to the video with headphones on. You’ll hear odd mixing from left to right channels. I think it would sound better in mono.

The presenter sressed that this this was a 'gyroplane' and not a 'gyrocopter'... but aren't these two terms for the same thing? Both are aircraft that get their lift from autorotation of the main rotor and are driven forward by a powered propellor (or a jet, or even a rockeet I suppose). If they're not the same thing then what distinguishes them?
The distinction lays on the price of the gyrocopter, I'd guess.
Bensen invented a machine for "affordable flying" and called it a gyrocopter.

Looks Brilliant only 2 things stop me buying one. Im waiting for someone to make a Diesel version and not sure whether this is the one or the Xenon but which ever one builds a diesel version first ill put my name on one both superb craft.
