It's a shame that Cher is the only person I've heard say there is no such thing as a good slave master

Jawanza Diame “They worked so hard that they died at 20 years old or so" - I find this claim highly questionable & would like to see the source-material for that.
In terms of the real statistics, if you factor out the high rate of child-mortality in that era (which applied to EVERYBODY), & the communicable diseases (which also affected everybody), than I do not think you can possibly get an average life span of 20 years per slave?
For one thing, that is pretty obviously unprofitable for the slave-owners. Slaves cost a lot of money. If your slaves dies after barely reaching adulthood, you've just lost your whole investment in that person.
For another, it would require a pretty high rate-of-replacement. canada wasn't ever importing slaves in large quantities (except the loyalist-immigration "wave"), & not at all after the bans on the international slave trade. 20 years isn't much time to have kids of your own, much less raise them. So that doesn't make for a "sustainable" slave-economy. Where would the replacement slaves come from?
Something is wrong with the math here.
(Also worth mentioning; in canada, the majority of slaves were used as domestic servants or in farm work. Not a nice thing when you are forcing people to work, & for no pay. But the mortality-rate isn't THAT high.)
I am left wording if the authors have maybe borrowed this claim from the statistics for the caribbean sugar-island plantations (& similar; deep south usa, etc.)? (where the mortality rate was MUCH higher)
      respectfully

    Shalom (peace),
I happy to see that you recognize that you are a descendant of the Slave Trade. If you are truly a scholar and seek the Truth I invite you to learn of your true nationality. Sister, you are not a Canadian (nor could you ever be a Canadian by Nationality); you are an Israelite according to the Holy Bible!
The Bible is a history of our people...please visit israelunite(dot)org; there are many videos and other historical, as well as Biblical evidence to prove this! Search!

Yeah, I know. The Bible is a JEWISH RELIGION as many came before it so, that means generations of people came before it all over the world. Way before Israel existed there were other religions of other gods that existed for centuries. The Holy Bible is full of HOLES. Biblical evidence is hearsay so not really evidence. It is a copy of the older Zoroaster religion. Guess who has taken their blinders off and actually researched this stuff? AaronRa on YT. Look him up if you dare question your beliefs.
