To see Altaïr’s growth from arrogant to wise is awesome and does a great job of setting the foundations for the series’ philosophical debate. The confessions with the Templar targets are simply among the best villain dialogue in the series and, for those of us that played AC1 and the entire Ezio trilogy, that final moment of: “No books, no wisdom… only you… fratello mio…” hit that much harder. To learn how to separate that from Ezio compartmentalizing his own life, and Altair doing the same… one of the most timeless Assassin’s creed games. I do love the nod that he's struggling a bit with his "identity" as an Assassin and his "identity" as Ezio Auditore da Firenze. I also love how Ezio sounds in this game. It's thanks to Ezio that the world is safe. He is the "prophet", just like how he was referred to in AC2 and he brought the savior, Desmond, into the world.

Hands down my favorite Assassin’s Creed game, and probably my favorite video of yours!
This game is so underrated within the context of the Ezio trilogy and your thoughts did it justice.

11:36 by you saying "Same VA" for Altair; if you mean the voice of Altair in Revelations is the same VA from AC 1, then you're wrong. AC 1's VA was Philip Shahbaz, and Revelations VA was Cas Anvar

Yusuf’s origin story to the Assassin/Templar conflict is shown in the novelisation for the 2016 film, one of the Regressions short stories that each of the prominent descendant characters from the film got and detail an Animus session they were in. They all have ancestors who have appeared before in the franchise, and these extra short stories serve to flesh them out a bit more.

Ezio trilogy would always be my favourite games. Also, a little thing I noticed, Apple of Eden drives a person insane in a small time. It is a testament to Altair's will power that he kept using it for years without going mad or ambitious himself.

You said earlier in the video that the music in this game is great. And yes, that is absolutely true. But that song during the 'destruction flashback' scene hits so hard and doesn't let up until the end and gives that slight kind of hint of rebuilding and hope, but you'd never know with how hard it hits before that. Always gives me chills years later to listen to it and still essentially visualize the cutscene while listening.

Considering Desmond accesses Altaïr’s memories through his mother’s side, that could be why Ezio sees Altaïr and this portion of his life is so open to Desmond and not his father (whose side Ezio and the Kenway generations came from). That he’s doing through a safe mode of the Animus and not normal function could also factor in, like it wouldn’t be recalled this way through the normal interface even Rebecca or later Layla (who overcame the genetic match requirement for the user by drawing genetic memory from actual remains) might have designed.

Another nice touch about Desmond's clothes, the colors for the shirt are inverted and his hoodie going from white to black could be seen as his world view literally having been flipped after what he's gone through in the last game.

AC revelation was my very first AC and till this day its my favourite. It has so much storytelling like no other AC. The historical accuracy is good without ruining the fun and I loved how they focused on the political und historical events in this game, it felt like we really did influence history.
Also I love how ezio is being shown here. Wise and calm. Fights and climbs good but still we can fell his old age. The development of ezios age is done really good. It has been fun listing to him talking and being himself, but with that exhaust look and voice. Just perfect

I know you said you didn’t play the original Assassin’s Creed, but that’s where the music at 22:31 is originally from. Of course, AC2 reused it for the assassin tombs, but I LOVE that Altaïr’s music follows him through the games. VERY nostalgic moment either way!

I don't know if you read comments but I feel like its worth mentioning in the first game the world outside was described as post apocalyptic and then retconned later to be some sort of "hacker". Which is just a great change of direction cuz eye roll for shoehorned apocalypses.

I noticed you said you haven’t really been into cod campaigns since Bo2 but I really think you should give Infinite warfares campaign a shot and possibly make a video on it. A lot of people shit on the game because of how bad the multiplayer was but it honestly has one of the best cod campaigns in my opinion. I would love to hear your thoughts on it aswell! Either way you do a lot of work on these vids and they are really cool!

That wagon chase with the Templar captain is still one of my favorite moments from the game
Also, my head canon for Ezio's actions around the 5 minute mark is that he came across the fact that there was water beneath him while he researched Masyaf on his journey. As a wiser man and Assassin, he undoubtedly has learned the importance of knowing what he was walking into.

As someone who is going back and binge playing the entire Desmond saga (AC1, AC2, Brotherhood, Revelations and AC3) I can personally say AC1 is definitely worth playing and would love to see a video on that, only criticism I can say for it is that there is some things you can do that the game never tells you like if you dodge and attack with the hidden blade that’s a 1 shot kill

Revelations is the Ezio game have the least experience with, but even still, i think it's a phenomenal game. i also have to agree with you on the point about this game not being for Desmond as much.
Your videos help me remember why i love games so much, and i hope that, even though you've mentioned in passing that these older games are the peak of AC for you, you at least consider making videos for newer ones. i know that they're very different and have faults, but they still have plenty of positives, and imo deserve recognition with the rest of them.
