For a few years in the 2000’s they were kinda underusing their recurring cast members like Mrs. Puff and even Sandy who was originally a main character, so they’d focus on just Bob, Pat, Squid, and Krabs. I’m happy that in the late 2010’s onward they’ve started using their larger ensemble more regularly, whether it’s Mrs. Puff, Larry, Bubble Bass, Fred, and Karen, or more.
They making up for lost time.
I can do without Bubble Bass and Fred they were better as a one off antagonist and they kinda ruined the my leg by overusing it and it being forced in later SpongeBob to the point of not being funny, but the other characters like the main cast getting spotlight is great though.
