Michael Dell: How many screws do you want?
Designer: Yes.
The screws connected to the rear exhausts were very tight in my case :( . Had to give up. But i am going to contact dell
Guess i am screwed
you just need to use a second tool to apply more torque on the screwdriver. Be careful not to damage the screw
Thanks for your help. Did mine today. Circa 5-10 degrees improvement under heavy load. Circa 10-15 degrees improvement under medium load.
Best teardown audio I've ever heard on a video. Plus, you my Sir have made a hell of a video. Keep the great work.
❤️
@@pduesp I own a 7567 and still watch the entire video.

Thank you so much.
I used your vid when I first took apart my laptop to clean the damn fans.
Now I finally got my thermal paste and I couldn't remember how to put the thing back together after I was done.
Thankfully your video was there to guide me back
Many many many thanks
🤗
When did you clean the fan and how
Thank you good sir, very detailed breakdown.
Best disassembly video of dell 7577 ever.
🤗
For the thermal paste I recommend the Gelid Solutions GC-Extreme. Its is very resistant to the pump out effect meaning that the thermal paste will last for a while (a couple years) and is only $10 for 3.5 grams.
I highly recommend this thermal paste for anything including desktops and laptops.
HAHA were you screaming like the singers during that first part? THX for the video, I'm going to re-paste mine this morning as I saw it hit 95c on the cpu while gaming the other day.... the temps have gradually gotten worse over the 2 years I have owned it. Having been in the laptop service and repair business I'm not scared to get my hands dirty, but its nice to have something to go by xD You're saving me some time for sure!
🤗
@@pduesp Looks like a massive success! You can check out pictures of all the screws the dell tech who replaced my motherboard stripped out last year on forum(dot)notebookreview(dotcom) in the dell section if you are interested. I also used aluminum tape to seal the fan to the heatsync, which is working great!
It really helped me! Thanks a lot.
🤗
That was really helpful. Thank you!
🤗
Ever since my re-paste I’ve had to unplug the battery and RTC (Real-Time Clock) battery to turn my laptop back on. I have to do this every time and it’s very frustrating.
Thanks for this informative video. I want to replace my 7757's fan. Do I need to tear down fully to access fans? I don't understand how to take fans out from it's own housing.
Hacı hepsini açmanı tavsiye ederim acmisken termal macunu yenilemen de iyi olur
@@muhammedozdogan5133 evet onu da almıştım aynen yeniledim şu an çok memnunum

@@muhammedozdogan5133 Klavyede sorun yok ısınma da makul ölçüde bence. Önceden de öyleydi hatta
Thanks for the video, you really help me disassembly my laptop
nice tutorial
whats the battery model for this dell ???
need a replacement...
Thank you bro.
Your video is the best for this laptop, very helped me...
Needed to order a new battery so I wanted to see it but without disassembling my laptop
🤗
I stripped one of the screws on the battery and now I can’t get it out 😔 anyone know how I can’t fix it? I don’t have a tool to get it out
If its just the head, try putting a piece of flexible plastic or rubber over the head, then while holding that, press the screwdriver into it and try undoing it
The top of my keyboard above the F keys gets extremely hot when running a game. I think the thermal paste is gone on my GPU. Didn't know the GPU was so small in size. Can the GPU be removed and swapped with a more powerful unit?
It could but it would require soldering skills and possible UEFI flash.
I cleaned my keyboard and after I put it back together my windows wouldn't boot and I get the error saying inaccessible boot device. Does anyone have a solution please?
Check the HDd connection
Can i use any cheap thermal paste? Does getting expensive one make any difference?
well yes it depends. cheap ones last for about a couple of years if you're lucky, more expensive ones last about 5 years worst case scenario 3 years if you are a heavy gamer or overclocking your CPU.
Use the Gelid Solutions GC-Extreme one it’s olny $10 and is extremely resistant to the pump off effect.
Thanks for video. I repasted succesful with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut, temperatures went like 20, 30 degrees down, throttling problem solved.
🤗
@@pduesp by the way do you know where to buy original or better screws for exchange for DELL 7577?
That you have to order at Dell because they are so special kind.
Correct me if I'm wrong. I assume the square shape one is the CPU then the rectangular one is the GPU?
hey, how do i identify which fan is which like right or left? when my laptop is open and the screen is facing me, the fan on the left makes a noise so I wanna replace it. does that mean its the left fan? cause when I flip it then become on the right. Thanks!
Yes when you filp your laptop the fans switch.
So the left fan when using your laptop as normal becomes the right one when you repair it.
I know it’s weird but that’s what’s happenes
i have the same and i use mx4 termal...take care of thet laptop greet vid
👍
Rewelacja ! Dziękuję!
my gpu fan died ? how to replace it without remove the motehrboard ?
thank you so much
🤗
did your cpu and gpu temperatures drop? I tried repasting and still around 75 deg C
mine was hitting 90 to 100 c before the teardown couldn't play games properly was having huge thermal throttling i have NVidia gtx 1060 with maxq, and after cleaning the fans which are detachable btw there are two screws from the back and smaller ones from the front you should be able to lift it up gently mind you because you don't want to rip the black tape that's attached to the grills, after lifting the fans i found a LOT of dust and lint blocking the airway preventing proper airflow so i just cleaned it with a alcohol damped cloth gently and blown out the rest of the dust with pressured air through the grills and used a brush to gently clean the blades of both fans then reattached and assembled everything back. i did not even touch the heat sync nor removed it cause i did not have thermal paste and the laptop was only 1 year old so it was not necessary to reapply the paste. after reassembly everything went back to normal 40c on idle 75c on max heavy duty gaming playing cod warzone with no issues hope this helps!
@@mohamadalidaify2832 hey bro! I'm having exactly the same issue. I opened the back panel but didnt do any thing else than that cause i was scared to damage something. I saw lots of dust inside the fan. I tried cleaning with brush but with fans attached i couldnt do it properly. I didnt want to remove the heat pipes. Mine is also a year old only. As you mentioned you did without removing heat pipe. Can you please explain how exactly you REMOVED and CLEANED the fans and other internals. Please help. Its hot like hell. I cant even touch the deck.
thank you. this helped a ton
🤗
are all the screws the same? or will i need to separate them into certain groups for certain parts?
There are different screws you have to sort them bevor reassembling it
I reccomend getting a screw compartment and taking pictures when you remove the screws so that you can retrace your steps
Thank you!
🤗
Do you know how to replace the fans?
Thank you this is what i want.
🤗
I stripped my heat sink screws what to do
Play on 2x speed during the opera part at 7:45
Are you opening the laptop up ?
Hi, would you remember if the CPU is soldered or socketed? Thanks
Its soldered. Recently disassembled one of these.
@@Exxt3R Do you know how I can ground myself without equipment ? Dell say "ground yourself by touching an unpainted metal surface, such as the metal at the back of the computer" in their service manual but back of the laptop is painted. IDK what to do.
my this model just too hot, i just want to know the only cooling fan clean part, and i dont want to disember whole PC . is there any idea?
Nope, you have to disassemble it sorry
Changing to lcd screen cable a struggle
I didnt see you clean the fans, just wanted to know a good way to do so, if anyone has a way to clean the fans please let me know
Use a brush
Thank you very much for your excellent video :)
🤗
What is under the fans? Because I accidentally scratched it and now laptop is not working. Thanks
CPU
It was incredible usefull!!!
🥰
Is that 1gr thermal paste? I mean, 1gr thermal paste is enough for GPU and CPU?
Yes you can do 3 times in total with 1 gram
Could you tell How many SSD hard disks and SATA hard disks slots are there in this model?
one SATA3 slot and one M.2
👍
Damn you luck as hell i stripped like 3 of my screws on the cpu smh
ouch!. you should be careful using the proper driver size and working with a steady hand at a 90 degree angle while unscrewing in order not to apply wear and tear on your screws.
thank you
🤗
You put too much termal paste it gonna get heat issue after 2 week
what the result before and after repasting
Low temperature
thanks

will this work on a dell inspiron 15 7000 gaming laptop? my friend tripped over the cord when it was charging and ripped out the little glove that sits around the metal prongs inside the charging port of the laptop. it charged for a day if i held the charger in(it felt loose). but then the next day it make a loud zap noise and both the charger and the laptop shut off immediately. i want to try to replace the port by removing it from the mother board and resoldering a new one on(if the motherboard isnt burnt).
👍
Hello, which is the thermal pad thickness i have to buy for this laptop?
amzn.to/340kHRY
@@pduesp i mean thermal pads not thermal paste
i can see in the video you have change the thermal pads i want to know which one you bought
Did you find out? I am wondering the same thing.
@@kenneth6965
I think he didn't change the thernal pads
I'm a bit scared to do it but my laptop is way too noisy. Is it relatively safe to open it or should I wait and send it to Dell?
Same. laptop making noises like fuck,
no idea what to do
Undervolt the cpu czcams.com/video/R7OdTmylZNQ/video.html very easy. My cpu is now low 70's gaming.
I’m not scared to do it just be patient, have screw compartments, and take pictures
Is this really hard to do ?
It’s tricky high level disassembly
you need a lot of patience and a steady hand lol, the hardest part for me was removing the plastic chassis.
why is it so clean though like I don't know what to expect though >_
i cant do that nope.
🤔
what toolkit did you use
amzn.to/2ZA0OSN
i'll try liquid metal waiting to arrive. Good job.
Liquid metal for what u are going to use this?
@@pduesp there are liquid metal termal paste , main ingredient is galium which is 75w/mk thermal conductivity and unfortunately it is conductive and cannot use on aluminium heatsinks.
🤔
i did my repaste but i used arctic mx4 paste. it works 20 degrees cooler now.
👍
omg I'm way too stupid to do this on my own... can't I just like send it to dell does anyone knows if they offer fan cleaning services for their products or something? I could heat my coffee by how hot this stuff is getting while gaming
Yes you can send it to Dell and they’ll clean it for you + repaste it as well 👍
@@donutdoesminecraft thanks bro gonna do that 👌
