Lexus LS400 (Celsior) 1uz VVTi with serious VVTI issues. Silicone where silicone shouldn't be. Pt 2

The Cartune Company (2003) Ltd in New Zealand does 1uz and 3uz conversions / parts and wiring. We have been working on UZ Toyota V8 engines since 2004 when we did our own Hiace van to transport dirtbikes around NZ. Since then we have swapped to doing mainly just Lexus V8 work from a family owned farm hidden away in our paradise , surrounded by the NZ native bush. Did you happen to mic the o-ring x-section and ID on that cam gear swap Kelvin?

I replaced the whole camshaft they go bad the gears inside. Car runs great now

As you can see by the video its possible to replace the front actuator, where the gears are.

@@CartuneNZ the whole camshaft assembly was bad. The seals where good. It was the gears inside.

Is it correct that all dowels on the cam/vvti have to align ? I've done this based on pictures and your vid but I fell like the cam is timed incorrectly with the gear timing marks to the ex-cam aligned
