She literally calls it a illustration. They study exoplanets using methods such as the transit method. Basically they wait for the tiny planets to cross their star and they can detect tons of info from it. Such as the light fringe will show what elements are present. (Is there water, is there carbon monoxide etc) you figure enough things out…. You can make pretty deductible conclusions on what it most likely is like there, hence a illustration

Every single digital image you’ve ever seen; including the text your reading right now, this very message I’m sending you will be transformed into 1s and 0s - sent through a wire - then your phone *reconstructs* those 1s and 0s back into an image.
This is how space telescopes work but flat earthers are too dense to understand this concept, they think the digital world happens by magic.
When you finish a 1000 piece puzzle, did you draw the image? No. You just put the pieces you were given together.. if you can’t understand that, then the problem isn’t telescopes, it’s your brain.

There is no photos. Optical telescopes in high level Astronomy are not meant for visual light images. It is to collect data from different points of the EM spectrum, like ultraviolet or infrared. They can learn much about the composition of atmospheres and such using this method. They can make composites combining different data for images. If you did take a picture of that planet, it would just look like a slightly dimmer star. They wait for the planet to pass in front of the star and due to a bit of principles of chemistry the atoms give off light in different frequency ranges. They can then analyze that to find out how much of each element is present and such.

As objects in space move away from us, they become "red shifted" toward that part of the light spectrum (same Doppler Effect you may be familiar with.) In order to see far away objects, the James Webb sees in infrared (literally "below red") which is part of the spectrum human eyes can't see. The infrared image is converted to the visible spectrum for our viewing pleasure! Next time you think you've debunked science, remember that actually learning stuff is fun too!
