Harold did Teddy dirty, ESPECIALLY financially, and it's all been well documented. He was always jealous of Teddy because Teddy out shined him. In fact, their voices are similar in tone, but Teddy had that extra gear or the "it" factor that Harold quite frankly didn't have. Before Teddy's accident, there were some freaky things happening to him. Breaks went out on one of his cars, vandalism to his cars, items stolen, his friend and manger was murdered (I forgot her name), and then the "accident" happened and what was the cause, his breaks went out. Makes one think doesn't it. (Well just as I hit send, they mentioned her name in the doc)

Regarding the murder of Teddy's first manager Taaz Lang in 1976
There were always rumors in Philly that Teddy had something to do with it because she was set to get a huge percentage of all of his future earnings
A well known Philly DJ Sonny Hopson also reiterated that in the Pendergrass documentary "If You Don't Know Me By Now"

I think he sang "Don't leave me this way" better then Thelma Houston ever did. They talk like she improved it or somethin'. 'why I don't think many people realize he even did that song let alone was the original to sing it. I wonder if it was because she covered it so soon after it was made is why she over shadowed him wit' it. 'cause Harold Melvin and the Bluenotes released it in '75, Thelma Houston released it in '76.
But if anyone readin' this never heard TP sing it, google it, and listen for yourself, and tell me if it don't sound better when Harold Melvin and the Bluenotes sang it.

Doesn't it seem a bit strange that out of all the millions of cars driving around the country in 1982 that the legendary Teddy Pendergrass car was the only one that crashed because of failed brakes that seemingly went out without any warnings?😳
I bet you it was Harold Melvin's Jealous AZZ that cut the brake lines and he probably did it with a pair of mini bolt cutters.
