- Big thanks to Joe G. for lending and donation. We are really making a great channel for all of us. I look forward to talking to all of you. Joe this watch is the coolest affordable casio tough solar, great choice for sure.

I've had this watch for 10 years now. Only change I had to make was a metal band, but it's been the best watch I've ever owned.
Never changed the battery, and it still charges every day
Its the ultimate keeper. Tidegraph going strong and precise to 3 minutes after 5 years, timekeeping around +3 seconds a month, goes forever with the solar battery... amazing.
I have this model since 2010. The time erased the white "tough solar" at the top.
Just sent to the watch service, cleaning and polishing the "glass" and now I have it as a brand new!! Works with same battery since the day I bought it.
AWESOME PIECE..
TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU... I ALSO HAVE IT SINCE 2010. THE SAME STUFF/"PROBLEM" WITH LETTERS BUT .. I DON'T REALLY MIND. WELL, OTHER DIFFERNT THING IS THE WRIST. GOT TO BUY ONE ORIGINAL ONE DAY OF THESE. I'VE BEEN USING ANOTHER BLACK PLASTIC WRISTS SINCE THE ORIGINAL WAS BROKEN BY USING IT. IT LAST 5 YEARS AT LEAST. ONE QUESTION: IS IT THE CRISTAL MINERAL OR PLEXYGLASS MADE??
THANK YOU !!!
&
GREETINGS FROM SPAIN!
@@quiterioalbertobaezbenitez5739 amigo.. Creo que Cristal mineral. Es un imán de rayones pero con una pulida queda lindo. Saludos desde Argentina.
@@gpin27 muchas gracias amigo Gaston. Saludos desde las Islas Canarias. Que relojito tan fantástico por su precio. Me costo 35€. Y lo sigue manteniendo en los comercios. Resiste, da mucha información, múltiples funciones, ni preocuparse por cambio de baterías... genial, y encima atractivo (de lejos parece de la gama g-shock)
If you buy one of these consider keeping the little stand it comes on. That way when you're not wearing it you can put it on its stand some place where it gets light so it stays charged. Of course you could just lay it on its side somewhere, but it looks a lot more presentable on the stand.
I have a watch case, that holds 12 watches, with a glass window and I also have a sun therapy light, thats like 32thousand lumens or something and I have it setup to automatically come on periodically to charge my watches, it also has a drawer underneath it,that holds my other EDC type stuff/rings,necklaces,bracelets,electric lighters, metal pens, sunglasses and so on,but I do keep my watch boxes and everything that comes in them,on a display shelf, with blurays and books.
I love the Casios with Tide graph and moon phase, my favorite complication it's very useful for me
Complication?... or do you mean ‘combination’?
@@8Junio76 "complication" is the technical term for features of watches.
I just bought this after watching your review. 10/10. Favourite of my collection now. And the cheapest
It's a small watch but it has a lot of nice tools. The best of course it's a tough solar. Thanks for the video
I have this exact watch, it is my go to watch when I am busy and want comfort on the wrist.
Setting up my digital watch for the first time wasn't all that hard, but it was definitely a little frustrating. Good thing is that after you set it, you can forget it! Tough solar basically became a must for me when looking at digital watches since it gives me peace of mind since I can see how much of the battery is charged just by looking at the face. I still look for multiband 6 keeping when l;ooking at potential buys, since it makes maintenance that much easier, and also just gives the peace of mind when I see that it received the signal and everything is perfect.
Tbh with digital watches, even the cheapest non-solar Casios, you don't have to worry about the battery.
Unless you use the light an alarm everyday that is.
I started collecting watches in 2012 and I still haven't replaced a single battery on any of my digital.
I never use the alarm or the light though.
I like perfect timekeeping and I also worry about the battery but with digital ones you can tell as they spend the last week or so of battery life with the numbers fading a bit, so even without the indicator it's easy to tell when the battery needs to get replaced.
They are also very accurate, I wear my whole collection in a rotation and adjust the time every two weeks and they only lose about 3 to 5 seconds.
@@Digital111 and* alarm
One of the best Casio watches. Mine is on 9 years and battery is now dying. I have scuba dived with it to 60 ft and it never broke the seal. I'm sure I could get at least 5 more years if I changed the battery and rubber seal.
I love Casio watches.
Very good legibility on a positive display! Imagine a black bezel instead of blue with an all-black writings on it. It's gonna look awesome!
I've had this watch since 2011. As advertised in the day, the battery is supposed to last 30 years. It has been a reliable friend to me for 13 years now and I have only had to change the band. It is indeed a tough piece of kit - I've only had to polish it to remove scratches on the crystal, but everything else is fine... Great watch.
Thanks man. I bought ws210h because of this review. Perfect watches!
Watched this video on 10-22 2020, was eerie seeing the same date on his watch.
Nice review Rob, Thank You for your help
Thanks for lending it in and donating to the channel. The more I think about this watch, it really is great. You really picked a perfect model. I will be sending it back tomorrow.
LOL
BTW countdown timer is adjustable from 1 second to 24 hrs
Thats the smartest moon phase ive ever seem
This one has a similar display layout and functions as the GW-9110 Gulfman and the GW-7900.
The watch Sean Penn wore in the Gunman.
LOL true. You can even see it on the film poster. Could not decide which Casio Tough Solar to get, I believe that made the decision 😁
@@corporalchaos4576 hypocrite. Buying a watch is capitalism. Your fraud socialist gods wouldn't approve
This is a great watch, with a great module. It's basically the same module, functionally, as the ones in the GW-9110 Gulfman, and the GW-7900 Rescue. Though those G-Shocks have EL instead of LED lighting. Big deal, all three are legible in the dark. Loud alarms, accurate tide display - don't know how Amazon can sell this non-G-Shock for so little money, but I'm not complaining. Thanks for another great review!
usually, the manufacturers are the one that set the fair market price/value of their products (costs) before it goes to its distributors/sellers like Amazon, etc. for their retail.
Very nice watch.
I just watched the vid again with the same watch on my wrist
That's a very nifty watch. The big selling factor is Tough Solar.
3 years after this video was released I still had not a single G-shock. Now I have 12. All of them with tough solar. This watch is not a G-shock. And the chrystal is acrylic. But it has tough solar. A selling(and buying) argument in itself. At the pricepoint it's indeed attractive. And I like the design.
i bought 2 (both in stainless steel breacelet ver.) for my niece and nephew
Hi! I have this model, in grey with the bracelet and it is great: one great aspect is the alarms are really loud, this watch has become my alarm clock so I do not wake my daughter up. A negative is that the crystal is plastic and scratches very easily. Take care, Irène.
+Melusine Centun
The alarm is great. I made sure it is off now for Joe. It was annoying him with its loudness, haha.
What's the model number for the one you have ? Want the version with bracelet too :) thanks

in the horology work book, they classify these watches as computer electronic - non-mechanical, no moving parts aside from the button pushers.
I hope casio would make a new iluminator watch like this with triple sensor ABC...
My 1st choice after G-9300 Mudman
The cons of this watch just no auto light and easy scratch screen. Other than that, this is the best Casio standard watch. And the alarm more louder than G Shocks
@Christopher Malcolm God invented mineral glass
I lost my booklet and was hoping to find out how to put my watch back on standard time.
Dude change the time.
That's why we all click this channel.
Will Joe make an appearance eventually??
I got this watch last week after watching your video, thanks to your review. now there's one thing got me confused concerning the module number, in the caseback the module number is 3214 as the manual book stated, but in the test screen it shows 3193 and when i checked this module number in Casio website this module 3193 is for another model that has atomic timekeeping. do you have any explanation for this ?
They use sometimes the same pbc board, for example my W800H doesnt have countdown but actually it has the function but they diasable it with a welding in the pbc, I removed it and now have countdown.
..and 5 years down the line, would you still recommend this?
I was hoping to see how you set up the tide, which unfortunately you skipped haha
setting the tide is quite easy, you need to check your local tidegraph on internet.. then set the given time of the closest high tide in the watch and you are done ... 1) push the mode button until you are in the "tide" screen ..
2) press the adjust button and enter the nearest high tide time ..
press adjust again to lock it and that's all..
the screen will show 06.00 again but nevermind that.
( maybe every month check a tide graph and adjust it ) you can also use it for fishing.. the best catch will be 2 hours before or after high tide 😎
@W Jack well.. if you are living in GA ( = Georgia ? ) 6 hours from the ocean
you need to find a "tide" website with the closest beach town ..
see what time the nearest high tide is and use that time to set the tidegraph in your Casio.
I'm pretty sure there isn't a website with tide statistics for inland locations
also inland the tides will be barely noticeable.
( have a great day and let me know if you figured it out 👍🤓 )
@W Jack take a look at this ..
I bet you need to set it to Savannah to get the best settings.
www.usharbors.com/harbor/georgia/savannah-ga/tides/
or an other option South Carolina Myrtle Beach :
www.tide-forecast.com/locations/Myrtle-Beach-South-Carolina/tides/latest
there will be about 25 minutes difference between Savannah and Myrtle,
not only because of the moon position, it is way more complicated than that.
@W Jack well.. if you set the time it will last you a long time before it needs to be adjusted.. I do check and reset every month or so..
beware it is a bit funny you press the reset button while the screen shows you "moon" but the moment you press the reset button it flips to the tidegraph settings.. there you set the nearest high tide time..
save the setting and that is it.. the tidegraph shows 6.0 again just ignore that.
the watch is probably using average 6 hours up tide and down tide.. in reality at many locations on earth it takes longer or shorter than 6 hours to go from low to high tide.. ( overhere = Netherlands ) we can use the settings to check if it is safe to walk from the mainland to a couple of islands out in the sea.. if we mess up and the high tide comes in before we reach the island we are in big trouble 🤓🇳🇱
if you like to check out the area and islands.. search for "WADLOPEN" on CZcams 👍
Hola ! Los 4 tornillos que están en la parte frontal.¿ Son tornillos de verdad metálicos o son tornillos de imitación de plástico? Gracias y saludos desde España 🇪🇦
Their " Twin Sensor " watches have " Temperature & Compass " . " A Tripple Sensor " adds an " Altimeter," " a Quad Sensor " adds a " G.P.S. Step and Direction Map " on the face. Which could come in handy if you go for a Hike in the forest or a Trek in the Desert !
Direction map? That comes on only the F-20 ProTrek and the GPR-B1000 G-Shock.
Im a kid/teen I already ordered it but is it okay for my wrist.
Hi has it auto light when it’s dark? As the G-Shock
Simple with some decent functions. That's what I love about Casio. Wish I could find a watch that isn't obnoxiously huge (I have a 7" wrist), but gives me tide (and timer to next high and low tides), ABC with storm alarm, compass, and world (UTC specifically) time...with a long battery life. Any suggestions?
I have one of these Casio Affordable " Tough Solar Watch's " ! I've had it for possibly up to 5 or 6 years now and it's been Dependable
and It's Battery Has Never gone Dead ! However Something happend to the" Mode Button " and the Date & Time Can Not be Set ! So out here in
California, when we set the time pieces back 1 Hour [ about on ( was it) October 2019 ] mine did Not Set back .
So I'm on Pacific Standard Time ( P.S.T. ) The true time By the Sun . At 12:00 ( P.M.) Noon The Sun causes your " Shadow " to Point to the " True North " !
Provided that the Earth's Axis's Tilting last year in 2019 didn't alter that !! [ was that Twenty something Degree's ] I'm Not kidding , This happened look it up .
Size?
Like😁😁🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👍👍
Can someone tell me what the music note with a line through means? It still makes noise when the alarm goes off. Thanks.
It just means that the watch won't make sound when you go through different modes. It may also not make sound when you start or stop the stopwatch. However, it will make sound for the alarm when it goes off
thanks!
Vou comprar um. Gostei de ver num site de vendas. Tem ferramentas q nao dispenso.
Obrigado pelo video.
From Portugal.
I payed 36$
Good specs for the price right now it's about 48 Euros on Amazon 😂😂😂
The Casio [ ws210h ] affordable tough solar, Is a Good watch, But Why Did they " Select " those " 2 Features " ? !
The Moon Cycles and the Tide Cycles ? ! Unless you live by the ocean or need to " know the tide " as in work or play why would you " Need them " !
And The " Moon Cycles, " Unless you Lived in a " Cave " and only came out when the it was either a " New or Full " Why would you need That kind of
" Novelty " ? If you can " Afford it " Their Newer " " Twin Sensor / Tough Solar " watch would be a Better idea !
RTFM 😂
This watch is a poor man g7900
GW7900 to be exact I think. Because this one got tough solar while G7900 only powered by CR2025. WS210 proud poor man
G-9300
This watch is junk. I've had it for barely a few years now it's lost its bezel. Casio makes junk. The quality has definitely gone down over the years.
Buy G Shock or ProTrek then
@@R3dNordXLY no more Casio for me. I feel their quality has gone down and they are building throw away watches these days
naturebc I agree. If compared with previous model, most of the new model are made in china. The quality quite bad. Prefer made in japan or at least the thailand one
BUT! You still didn't have to change the battery!
