- At the 2021 Sony Open in Hawaii, Kevin Na claimed his fifth victory on the PGA TOUR with rounds of 67-66-61-65 to finish at 21-under-par at Waialae Country Club.

The PGA TOUR swings into its second weekend in Hawaii with the Sony Open in Hawaii. The Sony Open marks the first full-field event of the calendar year. Cameron Smith returns to defend last season’s Sony Open in Hawaii victory, while major champion Collin Morikawa and 10 of the top-25 golfers in the world tee it up at Waialae Country Club. Five of the top 10 in the FedExCup standings will be teeing up, the highest-ranked being Viktor Hovland at No. 3. Brendan Steele, who started last Sunday with a three-shot lead, returns to try to earn a title in Hawaii, while past THE PLAYERS champion Webb Simpson is on the hunt for his eighth PGA TOUR title. University of San Diego golfer and former Hawaii state champion Evan Kawai will make his PGA TOUR debut this week after winning a qualifier in November.

Saw him at the parking lot at the navy golf course cypress, ca years back. Asked if he was Kevin Na and he said yes. Was the first time ever for me to meet a pga pro so was a little star struck. Asked him a bunch of questions and he was gracious enough to spend 15-20 minutes answering my questions. Walked away thinking how genuinely nice and humble he was. Congrats Kevin on your win, I'm a fan for life.

There was a time where Kevin couldn't hit the ball. Go look up his whiff shots he used to do, especially with the driver. He had this mental block unseen before by a tour pro. He's turned that around for sure, and he's so easy to be a fan off. I used to poke fun a lot at those whiffs and now mad respect to him
