- The Badger has leading damage per minute but, is it worth the grind? That is the question I will be attempting to help you answer in this video. I go through everything you need to know about the badger and give a brief overview of the tech tree tanks leading up to it!

Historical reference. In AT 8, they planned to install a flamethrower and therefore wanted to "disguise it as a machine gun" in order to get a "pleasant bonus" at a close distance to the infantry. The project was rejected at the stage of technical documentation. p.s. Previously, this information was in the game, when you could read the full history of the machine and its combat path.
BADGER IS UNDERRATED
Brilliant job in the Badger!...The lack of a turret in the Tortoise and Badger is compensated by pretty decent gun and hull traverse speeds, which can still be boosted with IRM, so on open maps those that try to flank your Tortoise better have the speed or face the wrong end of a 5 second reload!

I have only ever tried a few TDs:
TS-5: Was a rental thing, quite liked it
Skorpion: Another rental; liked the alpha, but otherwise was rather irritated by it
TL-7: Got this as a drop, and unless you clip someone out the tank is just sad...takes forever to aim, gun blooms too much to take advantage of the interclip (unless its pointblank), and you absolutely cant fire on the move because the game will send your shell either into the ground or into the sky

Wow heck of a game, Max! Nice to see what the Badger is capable of in the hands of a great player like yourself! Sadly I am NOT a very good player and am sitting with an embarrassing 12% winrate after my first 8 games! Coming from an over 50% winrate with my tortoise, this has been rather shocking! Gun accuracy is treating me terrible (worse than what you experienced early in this game) as seems every shot I take bounces, even in a few cases where in frustration I fired premium ammo at Tier 8 hull-down heavies and still saw my rounds mostly do no damage. So this combined with some poor match-making and arty that seems to love me, my Badger experience has been brutal thus far! Here's hoping things will improve now that I have watched you play! :)

The British tech tree is actually pretty damn good, except for that light line....
The line treated me great but after unlocking turtle I became bored with the game play. It’s a beautiful line and if you’re a patient player very rewarding IMO
Turtle is the premium.

I did well in the AT8, because of the gun position, so you can just go half-half beside the wall, but AT7 is just pure horror for the user, AT15 is just there for the grind, i mean, the Turtle I is just straight out better in every way, it's like a mini Badger with nicer match up
I used to love the AT 2 back when it had 203mm of armour all over the front bits. Me and a Hetzer once held off half the enemy team on one flank in a T5 game......good times.

I think the Badger could definitely be one of the tanks we shoud put experimental HP on. Pretty much the entire side of the super Struktur is a Ammo wrack, a bit like the 279e

I played Tortoiza and Badger. But I liked Yagdtigr the most. Although it is large and without armor.

I have sat on the AT-7 for a long time now with no time to play it, I just don't have the time to grind up even though I have AT-15 unlocked and want the Torti... so my grind has been as slow as the TD's actually are 😄 I was finally finished this week on the Foch B and Bobject 268/4 and been grinding field mods on those, two very different playstyles
Well, you can accumulate "Drawings". For a combat pass. Also, during the Christmas holidays. They give a lot of drawings, either just like that, or for what, you pump in the "Christmas tree". Yes, it is not as fast as you would like, but you can save both your nervous system and resources. Because to pass AT 7 in the initial configuration is simply "abuse of yourself". In my opinion, only the "Black Prince" is worse (150 hp damage at level 7 and play against E 75), AMH 65 t (which does not go, and cardboard) and the initial configuration of the SU 101 (where you need to open 2 unnecessary guns to play on the "mediocre gun").
@@user-sz1hp3kq2m yeah all that is true, like trying the French heavies, where even the top tier can be worse than the stock turret like on AMX M4 51 😁 as far as using blueprints to skip tanks in a line, I use my blueprints to reduce the XP burden on the tier 9 and 10's as those can be a long slog if you can't reduce the grind. (I have mostly 8,9, and some 10's) in almost every branch of the tech tree except the British assault TD's lol.

The Tier 9 Tortoise is just better than the Badger, its like the E4 line, nice video and very good gameplay!
I hated the T30, E4 works much better for me.

I am currently on Tortoise and it gets wrecked in T10 matching, can't wait to get Badger
if you get wrecked with Tortoise in T10, you're not playing the tank right, and your exp on the Badger might be worse. I love the Tortoise so much, i 2 marked it out of pure joy without even grinding the thing
I think I've had some of the most fun playing the mid tier tanks in this line. I remember a KV-2 pushing me through a heavy flank on redshire. I was his armor and the DPM. It was disgusting.
The only one I didn't like along that line was the AT15. Really doesn't hold up in tier 8.
I just recently started playing again with the goal of getting ace tankers on every tech tree or collector tank I play but I now wonder if I should do thid to myself. I have never had a worse experience than trying to get ace tankers at Tier 1, 2 and 3, it's just so bad. What should I do?
I'm currently working down this line and was really enjoying it until I got to the AT7 now it's kinda annoying but I'm almost done with it

Its nice to see theyre buffing the AT15, the top speed increase is really nice. Hitting around 30kph with a turbo is really nice.
However the armour is still dogshit for tier 8, it would have been better from them to just improve the armour in my opinion tbh
The badger would be decent if it had the gun traverse angle of the tortoise. It was such a let down after the tortoise. Looks cool though.

Imo its just a S.Conq without a turret, also playstyle is very similar, and if you ask me to pick a TD to get maximum dpg numbers, Id prob go with badger, but I can see how it can be very frustrating to play for and average gamer.

back in time i hated entire line just to get deathstar
I found the armour was useless until tier 9 before 9 your weak spots act like a magnet and all shots seem to hit it even with me moving to make it harder. Plus gold rounds make your feel like a slow XP pinyada. It was a slug of a grind but once you get the tortoise everything changes I'm averaging 4k dmg over 120 games
Grinding AT15 is hurting my a**, because with gold it easily got penetrated

Badgers gun is also good on paper, but i fkn swear it has the in game acc of an is 7
In this game, the Object 705 A shoots "visually better and more accurately" than the Grill 15. Accordingly, accuracy is a "number to reassure the player". But what is "Reassurance", well, here the information is completely different😂😂

Seriously though, it's one of my top 3 favorite tanks. Permatracking people feels so dirty, but so fun. And bullying tier 7's is just hilarious.
I suffered through Onslaught just to get the bond turbo for it. I might buy the badger one day to give it a whirl, but I'm not in a rush.

This tank is lucky that it doesn't meet the super hellcat. If the super hellcat was a tier 10 this tank would be obselete like ever tier 10 TD

Nah keep the Tortoise and always think about the map you are on and go towards something which can hide or limit the exposure of your cupola
gotta say the at 15 for me was terrible but in the end its worth it
T62A: this is a pain to watch. Also T62A: 2.2k damage when the badger did 3 times his amount loool

Grind the Tortoise, forget that Badger even exist.
That accuracy is why I hate the badger. Got it 3 years ago and have barely played 25 matches in it. Even though the numbers on the accuracy are good but the fking spread within the aiming circle is garbage (just like all french guns in the game)

Badger fkn socks, yes it can be amazing when you sit in those positions where the enemy is helpless and your dpm punches thr9ugh them. But.
Most games you feel trapped and useless for your team, you are too slow to get good positions you can't side scrape at all, the alpha is so low that people with auto loaders won't feel scared to poke and dump 3 shells in you. Any td will butter through your armor even hull down with gold. Arty won't leave you the fk alone bc they hit you consistently for 500+ dmg every time. And say you DO get in that position, the gold pen is so bad that you get stuck in a Hulldown stalemate where neither can pen or ar willing to move. The badger is overall good on paper but by far the worst 10 td in game 😅
but when you get to farm, oh boy...but otherwise agree kinda frustrating to play in a LOT of situations
And even Yagdtigr and T 95 can overtake you.
