    Thank you Tim for another review of a hybrid piano. So far one that I could afford is Casio but I like that fake mode of Kawai. Great cable hook up panel. It’s important that a piano having a headphone hook and multi diameter plug-ins.

      right? Thanks @mickcorgi. Headphones are essential for town homes or open floor plans these days!

    Every traditional speaker has a transducer, it's just that it's coupled to a plastic, paper, fibreglass or metal cone (the circular element we normally associate with a speaker). Here, the transducer is just coupled to the soundboard instead.

    Can you layer the acoustic piano with the digital grand?

  • @UnpredictableViolet

    Does this piano have a sostenuto function for the middle pedal in either acoustic or digital mode? The Kawai site implies yes, but is not specific. And I don't see how that would work. I would not buy a piano without a working middle pedal.

    • @topmusicco
      @topmusicco  Před 2 lety

      No, the middle pedal doesn’t work as the regular sostenuto. Mind you, if I counted how many times I’d actually used a grand piano sostenuto pedal in my life for playing, I wouldn’t get further than one hand. Not an issue for me!

    Thank you for your helpful review video! May I ask you the size of your room in this video? I'm thinking of buying a K-200 but I have a small room and I think the K-300 would be probably too loud but K-200 is a less bassy so maybe it might work in small rooms better than the K-300. Thank you for your help, have a great day!

      Pretty small room - it was a bedroom just big enough for a queen bed and a little space around it if that helps?

    Great overview. Can you bluetooth wireless earphones and use it like headphones? Thanks 😊

      Dont think so sadly: www.kawai-global.com/support/faq/can-i-use-bluetooth-to-connect-wireless-headphones-speakers-to-my-piano/. "Kawai instruments do not support transmitting the piano's digital sound to Bluetooth headphones or speakers" I expect that may change in the future tho!

    Can you adjust the volume when you play the piano in digital mode?

    • @topmusicco
      @topmusicco  Před 3 lety

      Totally. Volume control on the main panel under the bass end of the keyboard

    In this video the digital bass sounds so much less powerful than the acoustic one. Is this a real effect or due to recording?

    • @topmusicco
      @topmusicco  Před 3 lety

      It is a little less powerful at the volume I was using but you can crank it. Nothing will beat the fullness and richness of the bass in the acoustic

    Is the Kawai k300 is both acoustic and digital aures machine?

    • @topmusicco
      @topmusicco  Před 3 lety

      Yes, it’s a full acoustic and digital. Hence hybrid.

    Ok, what does it cost? How affordable is it for the average punter? Nice to have all the bells and whistles, but parents would want to know if it's worth buying for little Johnny or Mary?

    • @topmusicco
      @topmusicco  Před 3 lety

      Not quite entry level to be sure -- $11,795 USD retail. I can't think of a better way to experience music though for a student. Well worth it if you can swing it!

    Medical care, transport, and masterpieces like this are one of the only reasons to be glad you live in 2023. Everything else in 2023 is pure crap... The best way to live in 2023 would be to discard everything apart from the Aures 2, modern medicine, and your means of transport.
