    Interesting. I have 2021 klx140l. I’ve drilled a bunch of small holes in the air box, put a big gun exhaust. Which is way to loud and sounds awful, I have a 100 main and 42 pilot and have changed the air mixture up. It runs way better than stock. But I cannot stand the exhaust note. It’s sounds awful, loud and cheap

    So it looks like updating the air box so it breathes better give almost as much boost in performance as the pipe during mid range where these bikes are ridden most. Thus adding a jet kit and opening up the air box would be a low cost boost in performance over a $400 pipe. Have you looked at trying a larger carb? Thanks for putting this data out.

      I have not. My daughter is not using all the power this bike has as is. Will go down that road once she starts ringing it's neck!

    amazing info you are putting out, very thankful. We have the same bike, trying out the Sigma jet kit. Any updates on the best setup as far as jet size, air box lid, fuel mixture screw turns, needle clip... stuff like that? thanks

      With lid removed I drilled out the main jet to a 106. Worked well but don't plan on running the bike that way. This bike seems to need a bigger pilot jet and have one on order. Not enough adjustment on the air screw.

    • @dustywheelz7854
      @dustywheelz7854  Před 3 lety +2

      I tried the 40 pilot jet and it was too rich. Ended up going back to the stock 38. Airscrew is at 3/4 turn

    Did you dyno with the stock knobby on? This can give massive difference, sometimes up to %50 less, this bike is probably closer to 15hp. Also would like to know what torque numbers you got?

    • @dustywheelz7854
      @dustywheelz7854  Před rokem

      Stock knobby. Usually on these lower HP bikes you will only see about 1hp difference to a street tire.

      Rocky Mountain atv they got every dirtbike part you can think of. But a frame would be a steep 4-8 months shipping. With machining it. Then shipping it.
