I watched many rwb builds.Some things i noticed is that he uses spray cans to paint some parts,he cuts the wheel arches and attaches the flares right away without sealing the gap,and some other things,like sanding already painted parts,etc.As a style the cars are very unique,but it doesn't look like a build that will last very long.
Definitely need to see not only the car in person but also him working on it. Our city was lucky enough to have him over this summer and watching him work is truly incredible and eye opening because you could watch a bunch of RWB videos or see pictures and not truly get how special the car is, it's not exactly my flavor of cars but his work and designs are among the best.

Robby-No he hand makes the kits for each client ,ships the kit ,then travels to fit them.Theres only one place to purchase them and only one man (him)fits them.So yes his business plan is unique and a 12 mth waiting lists proves this.

He has incredible skill 4. “Silicone and spray paint” haters: it takes skill to do backyard-work with these mediums, regardless of the medium quality. He travels shop to shop, doesn’t know what he’ll see tools-wise when he gets there. Seems like me packs a small bag, and works his system, and if works. Spray paint means no compressor. Caulk and tape- what’s wrong with this? Probably even adds strength. 5. He needs to stop smoking. Someone help him with this please.
Dan Taylor he brings his own tools. i believe it’s belt sander, di grinder and a drill and some other things but i’ve seen the same tools used in a lot of videos
i didnt believe it until i drove one but trust me, there is not a single part rattling in any of his cars. when he does it it looks like tinkered together but its the decades of experience that makes it look so easy and tinkerish when builds a car. i too prefer restomod in the style of ruf, singer, etc over this kind of tuning but it still has its flair and that bloke does do a very good job.

nah in some 15-20 years or so this wide body kit will be unscrewed and stock spec fenders and rear quarters will be put on...but than it will just be a trailer queen 911. Until then, drive it, abuse it, slam it, poke it, chop it, stance it, ls swap it
Totally agree! Although this Porsche is classic it's not necessarily rare or unique. I'd rather see a car like that being used/"abused" and being enjoyed than sitting on a trailer going cross country amongst other super polished cars that are just locked in a garage and barely gets any fresh air or miles on the clock.

I understand that. But it isn't hard to pour polyurethane into a mold and let it cure over night. It's literally just a body kit, Darren. Plus, I'm pretty sure the car is painted by a 3rd party.

You wouldn't want those flares in Hong Kong, car is near unusable in most streets. You want to see a Ferrari 458 trying to get down some of the backstreets, that's bad enough, this Porsche just wouldn't make it.

What is the appeal with this guys work? He sticks loads of cheap, shitty, Ill fitting tat to an otherwise great car. Glue guns out, hand painted chicken wire, self tapping screws! The list goes on. It’s seems if you make a vid, stick some soothing music over the top, people think he’s an artist... it’s rough as hell the work he does!
Evolved well his cars aren't meant to look slick I mean the name has "rough" in it and all these cars tend.to.also have some very good performance upgrades. These beauts can easily handle a track and he does have his own racing team which uses these cars

Сетки выкрашенные баллончиком и т.д. - Всё это красиво лишь на видео и при условии, что готовый автомобиль будет храниться в гараже для созерцания, а не реальных условий при которых вся эта красота сгинет в ближайшее время. Вопрос ремонта кузова или замены его некоторых деталей тоже под сомнением, т.к. по периметру используется герметик и каждая деталь подгоняется к кузову индивидуально в процессе постройки, т.е. менять подобную деталь - целое дело от А до Я. Но это тюнинг, а конвейер, поэтому многое можно простить. Выглядит классно, бесспорно! Respect! :)

But if you look at a lot of the RWB builds in America, a lot of them are owned by guys who weren't even alive when these cars were made. If I was Dr. Porsche, I would be happy my work has transcended the era it belonged to and that an entire new generation is so passionate about my work. But that's just me. I can only dream that long after I am dead, some of my photography might become iconic. I wouldn't even be mad if someone took my photos and reimagined it as pop art.. or maybe by then, you can design 3d shapes on a computer and print a hologram.

It might look like a cool wide body but get withing 5 feet of that thing and it will look like a a kid put it together.

C_it_Signs. We design/manufacture and install custom retail solutions (signage/ marketing & branding). If you want to modify a Porsche I would much prefer the Singer approach
Joel Brooks of course there are. Go to a REAL body shop worth its own weight in welders and fabricators and you'll see what it really takes to put one of these together properly. Caulk and self-tapping screws? Even the manager at a Maaco would have you fired for that.

This car is rebuild and the owner decide to give it an additional difference. Thats all. This is more closer to a track look than practicality anyway.
