    Great video I was able to fix my 03 accord. You don't need to take the seat out. Just move the passenger seat all the way forward. Then reach for the flap to access the harness

    Thank you so much! It only cost me $55 to fix compared to $250-$300. Your video showed exactly what to do. I just wish mine came out as easy as yours did. My O2 is original and has over 266,000 miles on it and was rusted completely in place. Thanks again for the help.

    Hey Robert your video was great man. I am not a mechanic by any stretch of the imagination but I know a lot about cars. My daughter has a 2005 Honda accord LX 2 door coupe and hers just popped up the notorious P0139 02 oxygen sensor. I won't be able to do this job but I am going to take the car to my mechanic but I still learned alot of info so at least I know what the mechanic will be doing so thanks again Robert. My daughter's car has about 146,000 miles we just got it about 5 month's ago. The car had 142k when we bought it. It has been driving fine with no issues still drives good with the check engine light on which just came on yesterday 7/20/18. I see this info was uploaded 2 yrs ago 2016 thanks again man ✌️🏾

    Great video. Figured I would return to leave a comment.
    Bought a 2005 CR-V from an an auto auction. Had it for a week when the P0139 code popped up.
    My issue ended up being from a critter chewing the wires at the connection under the seat.
    I'm sure the dealership would have kept the car for 2 weeks and charged $3k for a complete wiring harness install from bumper to bumper.
    $42 part to replace the sensor/wire and 20 minutes of super easy labor. Specialty socket was $6. Good to have in the toolbox!
    Code cleared itself and hasn't returned in 2 months.
    And, no.. I certainly did not torque my seat bolts properly to complete the job. Godzilla gorilla mode fully engaged. No squeaks or rattles allowed in the vehicle. Haaa. :)

    that must be a common problem with the 05 accords because I just got that code, now I'm mad it's under the car because it won't be a repair I can do myself. Also did replacing the sensor fix the problem? I'm worried I'll replace the sensor and then have to deal with needing a new cat. How much do you think this would cost at the honda dealership?

      Hopefully you see this who commented before. I had replaced both O2 sensors new Denso and this light came on after about 10,000 miles/3 months on the rear sensor. (I drive a lot). What fixes this besides resetting the CE light. What about the fuel injector cleaner liquid you can put in your gas tank? A tighter gas cap? Is it just a random code that I can reset if the sensors are pretty new?

    I got the cat changed last year for catalytic converter P0420 error on my 2016 CRV. 6 months down the line I got the P0139 error. I changed the downstream sensor this time. 2000 miles more I again got the same P0139 error. I called Denso and they sent me a new sensor because of warranty. I called the mechanic to reinstall the downstream sensor and he says P0139 error may be because of upstream sensor also and recommending to replace upstream sensor. I am so confused this is driving me nuts!!!!!!

    @shiddy. Před 2 lety

    FYI ... I found out today that accidentally leaving one of the hoses on the intake near the air filter disconnected after changing the air filter will throw the exact code for this bank1 sensor2 O2 sensor failure
    my torque app said the light was on for 'o2 sensor slow to respond' ... instantly fixed by re-attaching the disconnected hose on the side of the intake tube
    if you have this code for bank1 sensor 2, first check all of the hoses that attach to the intake before digging into this O2 sensor repair - especially if you've recently had the air filter out
    if writing this helps at least one person it's worth it
