One thing you need to know about being a good food critic is first the ability to appreciate the uniqueness of everybody cooking style. I've seen "Chef" Bonnie twice, and both her critics on other food weren't what people should genuinely complain about, and she'll intentionally give people low scores so that she might win.
I do not know the lady who won this episode, but seeing that her first ranking was a decent one made one know that she is a nice person. You'll know the difference between someone intentionally trying to put others down and others who would.
BTW. I've been a NdaniTV fan since 2015.

Okay, I want to point out Im African American. I've only eaten Egusi 1 time, but Ive seem pictures and looked up tons of recipes. Bonnie's Egusi gave me a jump scare 😂🤣🤣🤣. Omg!

If you can't smell the aroma of my egusi soup! Try this recipe..Ogiri and Uziza leaf are a fantastic combination in egusi soup, and adding stock fish and smoked fish takes it to a whole new level! The umami flavor from the ogiri, the slightly bitter taste of the Uziza leaf, and the richness from the stock fish and smoked fish create a depth of flavor that's hard to resist. I am a spice enthusiast, and I love experimenting and enjoying flavors!

Yeah, sometimes people char the skin and scrape it leaving some cooked hair on the meat.
Apparently this batch of goat was not charred or shaved well.
Leaving the skin off is the easy solution.

Egusi is pumpkin seeds stew or soup. Can be compared to a spinach or green stew with scrambled eggs (looks like egusi) & fish+protein.
Egusi stew/soup is common in West Africa specifically Ghana & Nigeria

I'm from the US and the first time I had Egusi it blew my mind. Truly a life-changing dish! I dreamt about for years before finally acquiring all of the ingredients at international stores. I'm now proud to be able to make it myself (though it'll never be as good as when my cousin from Ghana makes it) 😊
Ghanaians make Kontomire stew it contains taro or coco yam leaves not pumpkin or spinach leave. Additionally , kontomire usually is all vegetable or light fish. It’s not the same as egusi stew which is solely Nigerian

If you can't get ahold of egusi seeds, roasted pumpkin seeds are pretty similar.
Likewise, ugu leaves (pumpkin leaves) can be substituted for spinach or kale.
It won't be the same but it will taste pretty good regardless.
We are Cameroonian and we eat egusi, my mom uses pumpkin seeds and it tastes so good😊

Loved the video! I’d work on the audio a little more the music was too loud especially towards the end when you were getting the other three to try the dish. The music was too distracting and loud and I really wanted to focus on what they were saying.
