The Church Fathers reflected for us through the ages all mysteries for us and interpreted for us the life, passion, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. No Protestant Church can do this because our Lord Jesus created his own church, is, and he chose Peter to be his stone on which he build his church. Jesus became food for the world.

“We adore Thee, O Christ
And we are blest by Thee,
Because by Thy Holy Cross, Thou hast redeemed the world!”
has always been our traditional prayer as far as I can remember, and when we follow Bishop Barron in his station-by-station very realistic and touching rendition of our Adoration to our Lord’s Passion, we feel much closer to Jesus now more than ever before , as we feel sorrow for our sins, and strive to make ourselves more worthy of Jesus extraordinary Love for each of us 🙏

Can you explain why christians do not even know when Easter is , why no fixed date ? Why not pick a date like Dec 25th which was a Pagan Holiday and claim it as your own ? I thought the bible was evidence of his existence and you cannot even tell us when he was born or died !

We do know, and it is the same date of the weekend of the Passover determined by the earth, the moon, the waters of the sea, I.e. by the creation of the world. True we need a calendar to note when all the elements come together in harmony. And this has been celebrated since the Jews left Egypt! It wouldn’t be right to pick an arbitrary date.

Yet this morning through the meditation on the Jesus Prayer I was brought here.
