Guy rides Royal Enfield for the FIRST TIME | Thunderbird 350 X - Reaction & Detailed Review

  • I am not kidding you guys - this is practically my first time riding a Royal Enfield for any serious duration.
Having always loved their classic looks and that auditory thump, I wanted to see if I could put up with a Royal Enfield long enough or would the infamous vibrations and the heavy plodding movements get the better of me.
Come along and find out as I take out the latest Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 X in blazing red out for a spin. It’s a bike that fits the urban roadster billing to the T but is it all good news or does Royal Enfield’s reputation catch up with it sooner or later.

I bought it 3 months back... Here are my pros n cons of dis beast -
    Pros -
    1. It's one of the smoothest bullet i ever rode.... Vibrations are less as compared to classic .
    2. Due to it's upright handle positioning ,it is easier to manuever in city roads. Handling is much better dan the traditional thunderbird n classic .
    3. Looks too good !!!! Believe me when u take ur bike on d road ,it will definitely turn d eyeballs .
    4. ABS has made d breaking much much better. I must say i was saved so many times just bcoz of ABS.
    5. Seats are really comfortable. While riding it feels u r really riding a premium bike.
    Cons -
    1. Wen u apply brake suddenly ,there is a thudd sound from the front suspensions.... believe me it lowers ur confidence.
    2. Fuel indicator does have a mind of its own. It hardly shows u d right fuel bars
    3. Speedometer consoles though looks superb , but are of extremely cheap quality. It is clamped through a triangular bar which is too weak. As u r riding on indian roads, every now n then der will b a pothole or a speedbreaker... As u ride through dem the speedometer console vibrates and it will giv u a feeling dat it is gonna break off from d clamp. REALLY BAD QUALITY.
    4. The missing problem !!! Bike will stop suddenly on d road .... It is really frustrating..den u hav to open the fuel tank cap..release d pressure n den it will start again.
    5. Headlights look attractive but the range n throw of d beam is less as compared to classic .
Final verdict - If u can ignore d cons as mentioned above den it's a superb bike... It looks gud...feels gud..n will make u feel royal...But a small suggestion to RE - kindly make reliable bikes.. pls !!! RE enthusiasts spend der hard earned money on it... Atleast dont fool dem wid cheap materials . Kindly upgrade urself otherwise JAWA, BENELLI WILL DEFINITELY TAKE UR MONOPOLY IN D TOURER BIKE SEGMENT .

    @neerajchelat894 Před 6 lety +3

I actually test rode this bike....same colour red.Dont meant to offend anyone but this was my personal opinion.I have ridden a classic 350 for quite some time. The drawback I mentioned below may be associated with that particular bike, but I am listing everything I felt.
    1. Seating position was comfortable for me.The riders seat itself was nice. But as savant bhai said the pillion seat is more form over function.
    2. The ride quality was great.....I deliberately rode it over a couple of potholes to understand the ride quality and it was nice.
    3. Surprisingly the clutch felt really light and nice to use.
    4. I know that the Thunderbird weighs more than the classic.I also know that both have the same engine with same specifications.
But......I felt the Thunderbird to be lighter than the classic ( to my surprise). Also I felt the thunderbird had better performance than the classic although on paper they are same.
5.Typical RE vibrations are still there.......the handlebars, the footpegs and the mirrors were vibrating like hell.In fact the mirrors vibrated away from my default set position to some extent.
6.I had some difficulty getting adjusted to the forward set footpegs unlike the classic...mind you this is the first cruiser I have ever ridden.
7.Fuel gauge was kind of having some issue.
    8. This was the most disappointing factor for me-the brakes. They were absolute crap. There was no feel,no feedback and no bite.I expected it to stop better than my friends classic 350 since it had no disc brakes at the rear unlike the 350X.Instead it was a big disappointment.
This is my opinion.I don't hate this bike, but for 1.75 on road in my place, I didn't find it worth tat money. As I said I didn't mean to offend anyone Ride safe

Not to offend anyone, (well if you are offended, can't help it) the bike is more show than go. That's all there is to it. If you're into that kinda thing then all power to you. However, when I spend my dough, I look forward to a good riding experience and a quality product, not just retro styling.

I'm a dominar lover but family wasn't in support of almost any other company. So was left with RE as the only option.
I had the same opinions and still do to some extent.
It's not really value for money.
I'm not one of those who think "bullt bullt hota hai" and all those dumb arguments.
But honestly I was too skeptical.
Even a test ride doesn't do it justice.
The vibration is an issue which once you feel the bike and know the right rpm to stick to, becomes non existent.
      I bought a RE tbx350
Honesty after just 2 days of riding experience i was really very happy with it.
That ride quality, very surprisingly, is very nice really.
And I ride fast. Not that "stay within 40" kinda guy.
Sure my first preference was dominar and all but this bike makes me so happy in general ^~^

Arvind K he's preventing engine breaking by holding the clutch, and when u engage the clutch back u feel a jerk
