I´ll show you how to Crochet a Star step by step in this Crochetvibe crochet tutorial. This crochet pattern is great for beginners and is great for the 🎄 holiday season or for crochet projects for babyshowers etc. I will also show you how to crochet magic circle / crochet magic ring.

ch6, sc in 3rd chain from hook, hdc in next chain, dc in next, treble in last, sl stitch in 3rd dc on ring. repeat until 5 points

chain 6
skip to the third chain and do a single crochet
next chain do half double crochet
next chain do a double crochet
last chain do a treble crochet
skip two stitches on the bottom and do a slip stitch
repeat
Easy peasy, thank you. Have been crocheting for a long time but haven't made a star in forever, so thank you for the refresher. Someone gifted me some very lightweight glow in the dark yarn...using it for starts on my son's blanket. So for a very lightweight yarn I used a 2.75mm hook and it worked great.

The point steps:
Chain 6
Single crochet into the 3rd stitch from your hook
Half double crochet
Double crochet
Single crochet to the
Repeat for 4 more times

My only issue is that my points are floppy. I might need a denser yarn. But it turned out adorable.
Any chance you have anything that shows step by step in screen shots? I am too slow and can't get CZcams to pause fast enough, it's frustrating stopping and missing and having to go back.

Then in 3rd double crochet do slip stitch [4:33] and repeat
