The silver lining is that Harry and Sirius have a true friendship/ godfather-son relationship. The fact that Harry and Sirius spend so little time together was always the most heartbreaking part of Sirius's death; they mostly communicated by letters and fire talk (?) You really don't have to have Sirius die in your what-if scenario. It doesn't make sense to assume that when things are different, they have to wind up the same. With Wormtail captured and Sirius proven innocent, the situation at the Ministry might be totally different. Fudge might be discredited and step down, or he might wise up and realize the threat of Voldy's return, and be ready to acknowledge it when it happens. As a result, Umbridge never comes to Hogwarts, the dementor attack on Little Winging never happens. Maybe Sirius is hired as the DADA teacher. Maybe he teaches ALL his students the patronus charm. Or maybe someone else competent becomes DADA teacher. Maybe Moody - the real one this time.
Yes, Sirius could still die, but it would be more likely that he'd die in the final battle at Hogwarts. But he has at least as good a chance of surviving as anyone else.

Thy cn do anything with the title Harry Potter but to stray away from wat J.K set up would make it no longer Harry Potter. Sirius Black dies, she wrote it. Harry himself names his children after the men who die during this time who greatly affected his life as a result. Harry could hav developed an obscurial (should have, if u exclude the logic of J.K). Which would hav caused him to pass away very young and Ole Voldy wins cuz of the prophecy. What if James had his wand on him wen Voldemort came to attack them? I always thought the wand chooses the wizard, so I always assumed Draco would go meet his mother at the wand shop after getting his robes.
I personally don't know if his mother picked out the wand because Olivander would have told Narcisia, "the wand chooses the wizard" and she would want her son to have the best. Meaning she would have waited on Draco to arrive before buying any wand... but who knows for sure. Very interesting question/ topic.

The line is to the effect of "Mother is looking at wands". It's not that she was buying Draco's wand for him, but that she was likely checking out different wand shops to get a sense for the quality, or otherwise at Ollivander's and talking about Draco to Ollivander to give him some idea of what kind of wand might suit Draco. So nothing should change at all on the front you seem most interested in - Draco would be as good of a wizard as in canon.

Sirius can be very singleminded when he has something he wants to do and he might have thought that revealing himself might delay and/or stop him from enacting revenge. I think even most of the year later, when they actually do meet, you can see how crazed Sirius is, still recovering from that. At the end of Prisoner, while Harry is in the hospital prior to going back in time, they talk to Fudge and try to explain to him that Sirius is innocent and that it was Peter Pettigrew, which fudge in usual style brushes off without even consideration. And this also serves as the point where Fudge goes from being supportive of Harry to starting to doubt everything Harry and Dumbledore say, considering harry to be a bit delusional, an opinion that only gets stronger the next year after the tournament. In this alternate series of events however Harry and Dumbledore are proven to be correct, Fudge can't ignore it, and it doesn't give Fudge any reason to be immediately as doubtful about their claims. Meaning next year when Voldemort may still come back, Fudge may not dismiss the possibility right away. Given the ministry was just shown that it had had the wrong prisoner for 12 years, there's be more pressure to not mess up another major decision. Furthermore with Sirius being proven innocent, the Ministry can't effectively handwave all the terrible happenings afterward (like the Azkaban breakout) as being done by him. I think in this series of events, the Ministry is not in as much of denial about Voldemort's return, and may actually provide some aid or resistance to Voldemort's rise.
If Harry was also around Grimauld place, the dementor attack that happened at the beginning of Order of the Phoenix likely doesn't happen, or if it does happens in an area where Sirius is likely to be able to be a witness as well. Personally I feel it wouldn't have happened at all, it's a overall more crowded area, with at least a few magical people in the area, plus the place would have been protected, it'd be harder for Umbridge to hide her involvement most likely. Furthermore Umbridge had so much power because she continued to try convincing Fudge that Dumbledore was after his position, a position Fudge already believed, a claim that given the current standing of Dumbledore and Harry may not be as effective. Even if it did occur, the farce of a trial was done so mostly to discredit Harry and Dumbledore further, again not as easy considering their new standing, having helped them capture Pettigrew. All of this I feel means Voldemort won't be as easily able to rise to power. The order won't have to be as secretive in it's missions to avoid the ministry catching wind, the ministry itself may ramp up searches and act on odd intel they'd otherwise ignore. Harry's testimony on the Death eaters he saw in the graveyard may be more respected and looked into. The ministry may have started taking the idea that it could have been infiltrated more seriously, which may help prevent the collapse of the ministry as quickly. Voldemort may still rise to power, but it'd be much more difficult for him this time. The order may have even informed the ministry about Voldemort's plans for the prophesy, making it harder to get ahold of it. Overall I feel Voldemort would get back to power slower in this scenario, and many of the faithful death eaters may have been caught, and it'd have been more difficult for the others to go around recruiting people to the death eater's side, meanwhile being easier for the order to go about recruiting people. Furthermore Dumbledore wouldn't have had to go into hiding and could have been active in the events preceding the battle, including being there right off the bat if a battle even occurred at all, meaning he may have stepped in to fight Voldemort and defend Sirius like he did with Harry in the books. With Dumbledore still in the picture Voldemort may have not even gone to the ministry. Considering it was Dumbledore who went through and effectively tied the death eaters up with magic prior to fighting Voldemort, Bellatrix would have most likely been included with the other captured death eaters.
But personally I struggle to see why there's even be a battle at all, if there's higher ministry presence, Dumbledore is still in play, the order likely being larger, and Voldemort's forces likely not as well setup yet, I don't see Voldemort going to the Ministry, and Harry having been told of the prophesy and knowing how the mirror works wouldn't be tempted to go there either, so neither party that can remove the prophesy would end up going to the Ministry, which means the battle likely never even takes place, which of course would have it's own major consequences, like the Malfoy's not being super punished by having Draco being forced to kill Dumbledore, so who knows how Half-Blood prince would Happen.
If I have one criticism of several of your what if theories, it's that you seem to arbitrarily choose plot points that should still happen and then force the story to go in that direction even if it's the least organic option. A small change could likely alter major parts of the story into being unrecognizable, trying to force the story to follow similar plot beans despite these major changes just feels forced, it feels unnatural, really odd or weird decisions or events are done by the characters in order to move closer to connecting the desired plotlines. Sometimes this even involves creating new information or items/people/creatures/magic etc. out of thin air despite there being no basis for them in established lore, or even sometimes contradicting established lore(*cough* several things in the what if Harry was in Slytherin videos *cough*)

@@MordechaiHershoffyoutube I have no issue with the controlling the basilisk. But rather more the out-of-nowhere idea that the phoenix tears healing the basilisk's eyes but not it's death gaze, that part in specific feels like something out of a bad fanfic more than a theory.
Even so you're claim that it's incorrect to assume Harry wouldn't be able to control the Basilisk simply because he's a horcrux is odd. While it might be possible, there's no evidence in the books or other source materials that Harry being a horcrux would have allowed him to control the Basilisk, the concept that being a horcrux allows Harry to control it is not in source material and is entirely speculation in the video. There's no evidence disproving it, but there's also no evidence supporting it, it's entirely supposition. That said, I don't have issue with that part of the video as I said above.
I feel I have to clarify that I'm a Patreon supporter, so don't think I have ill will towards the channel, I just feel some of these videos labeled "theory" have more of fanfic elements to them than they should.
As for your claim about the ministry, I just disagree. As I stated, Fudge only starts doubting Harry and Dumbledore when they try convincing Fudge that Sirius is innocent and that the real culprit was Ron's pet rat in Prisoner of Azkaban. This is the moment fudge goes from being friendly to doubting Harry's sanity and Dumbledore's intentions (which Umbridge then takes advantage of the mistrust to convince Fudge that Dumbledore's trying to take over his office). Without that interaction there's no catalyst for that mistrust to fester. Though you raise an excellent point about Crouch if he manages to not die in this scenario (Though in the proposed scenario Barty Crouch Jr. still goes under the guise of Moody during the tournament so who knows if he would survive)

as for proof that Harry could control you have the fact that the diary controlled it, granted the diary is only horcrux where as Harry has himself to, but its 100% leaning towards him controlling it.
I won't disagree about your feeling that sometimes they make things happen because that's the fanfic.
Fudge only started doubting Harry after the Rita Skeeter article, and even that he wasn't likely to believe till it was convenient for him when he didn't want to believe Harry on Voldemort's return, he didn't seem to disbelieve Harry about Madam Maxime because he was nuts, but it looked more like he kind of believed him but didn't want to and dismissed him as young (from my understanding), also he thought Harry was under a spell when he said Sirius was innocent, and thought Snape crazy he didn't doubt Harry's sanity, he just thought he was confused (don't remember the name of the spell), and he also didn't know that Harry was a Parselmouth which he found out in Rita's article along with his "collapsing around the school" thing, so I don't think he needed the Sirius thing to make him say Voldemort's not back.
And Crouch in my opinion would survive since he wouldn't be under the impirus curse, for when his would escape he'd be on guard and probably warn Dumbledore immediately about his son, even though Bertha wouldn't be lost and killed, for he would know what his son is trying to do, and pretending that he's still Moody he wouldn't have a chance to kill him at the time without raising Dumbledore's suspesions, plus he might not overpower Moody by himself, although its possible he would, but in the real timeline he had Wormtail's help.

“I know them, they’re like my best friends, what are the odds?” Honestly, while not explicitly stated, it’s been my head canon that A) Peter chose a family that was close to the order because he knew that 1) It was unlikely for Black to get out and 2) it might offer him some more protection than being in a random wizard/muggle’s family. And Additionally B) Mrs. Weasley, being someone from the order, KNEW that Harry was entering his first year, and intentionally tried to find him outside of platform 9 3/4 so that him and Ron might kick things off. I believe B more strongly than A, but it does lessen the odds somewhat.

The only reason Lupin knew Petegrew was still alive was because of the marauders map right? So they would have had no reason to suspect a random rat if Harry hadn’t gone to school and gotten the map from the twins. So that would prolong the hunt for Serius and, if harry still goes to school, he could still encounter a death eater and learn the patronus charm. He would definitely tell his friends about pettigrew and they would try to gather evidence that he was the traitor (still assuming he was dead) until harry obtains the marauder’s map, but it’s likely the rat would overhear something at some point and not even be in the castle at that point. Everyone would continue to believe Pettigrew was dead and have to find some other way to prove Serius’ innocence.

So, Barty Crouch would go to Albania to rescue Voldemort and bring him back to Little Hangleton, and there (without Wormtail), he has to nurse Voldemort. That means he can't go to Hogwarts to put Harry's name in the Cup, because Voldemort needs constant feeding and care to keep his feeble body intact and Wormtail is in Azkaban. Probably he contacts one of the other Death Eaters like Malfoy to tend to him while Barty Crouch Jr goes to Hogwarts disguised as Moody, but which one? He can't really trust any of them, all of them have betrayed him and pretended to the Ministry they were under the Imperius curse. He's terribly weak and none of them would stick out their necks for a wizard who's lost his powers. Not exactly loyal those Death Eaters!

Oooooh, I wonder if the reveal about James and his friends being a bullies would sting even more! Now that Sirius and Harry can have proper chats and Sirius is stuck a bit in the past, of course he's going to regale Harry with their adventures at Hogwarts and it'd be rose-tinted. If Sirius ever mentions dealing with Snape at school, he'll make Snape sound like the absolute worst. Harry would believe him, too; he already thinks his father is amazing and Snape is horrible. And then he sees Snape's memory and he'll realize that all of those fun stories where the Marauders "got back" at Snape were them being bullies, plane and simple.

Harry and Ron would be chatting it up in the common room about how awesome it would be, Hermione would turn around and talk about how dangerous it would be if instructions aren't followed to the letter. Ron says, "Well it's a good thing we have the brightest witch of the age to help us." Hermione blushes and shows a book on the subject because she too was really wanting to do it all along.

Neville can’t produce a corporeal patronus, meaning his patronus doesn’t have a designated form, but he is still able to do the wispy shield-like thing. The fact that so many of the DA can produce corporeal patronuses (patroni?) is supposed to be a testament to the talent within the DA rather than another example of something Neville can’t do right.

Huh, Snape's animagus form being a bat would fit, but I think a black cat might fit as well. I mean, black cats are often misunderstood and seen as unlucky despite not doing anything, somewhat like how everyone sees Snape as the bad guy. Cats were also considered like royalty in Egypt and Snape is the Half-Blood Prince after all. But also they have somewhat heightened senses, like Snape does, being able to almost know that Harry was there under the invisibility cloak. Plus they tend to lash out when threatened, like Snape sometimes does, this behaviour is seen when he causes a cut on James's face, calls Lily a mudblood by accident and starts throwing things at harry when he sees Snape's worst memory. And cats not getting along with dogs and attacking rats also could be similar to his relationship with Sirius and Pettigrew. Cats also are known for preferring solitude and quiet, dark places, like Snape does.
