You are the squiggly king Mr Fish Tucker Man . Reddy approved recipe as well 😂. As Reddy has purchased a new roost and can not move in until the end of August , I have packed my favourite tent into my trusty iron steed and heading North up the QLD coast to fish until I drop 😂 I will be AWOL at times due to no internet or phone coverage, never the less I will drop in at times to view my favourite channel . Dom. I haven't ever seen you used a fish scaling bag for calamari , halves your time at home cleaning up the skin etc . separate the heads from the body , get the boat fast enough to have the bag bouncing on top of the wake , you can literally see the ink washing out of the bag .. great if your got a few to clean .
I've got one and used it once...too paranoid that I was going to lose my Catch lol

Great job mate we scoop them of a night with a light in the water they make the best live bait for the big finger mark.Will have to keep some next time and give it a go.

Hey Dom, after years of watching your show, I bought a boat and finally got a few squid the other day. I fish the same waters as you. I put the squid straight into an ice slurry, got home, cleaned and cooked the same day. I am a professionally trained chef. The squid were large but not as big as some of the ones I've seen you catch. The ones I got were tough and rubbery like a gum boot and had an unexpected flavour (not nice). Just wondered if you have ever had a similar experience and if you have any thoughts as to why?
Well done and congrats and the new boat! Squid is so hard to master on the cooking side, I wouldn't ice the squid on capture too much and Cook them a day after preferable not chilled. Hate to give you tips on cooking 🫣, but that's what I've found out over the years. 👍🍻
