The production quality on these videos is so good, man. The colors and cinematography looks better than most shortfilms that people make.
Just... no. There's a lot of shitty short films out there and Corridor Crew is great, but it's color grading is just your average lut. It's overly saturated and the skintones are orange, and the editing, while fun and entertaining, is all over the place with constant jump-cuts and distracting editing choices. Also you said that the cinematography is great... in a video which prominently features outside shots in which because of the spontaneous nature of the shoot they probably didn't use any lighting equipment at all, not even bouncers. CC's videos are entertaining as fuck and great to watch, but they definitely don't stand out in any way in the aspects you mention.

@@SirWrender C'mon Wren, you have some good engineering skills, you should be able to figure it out! 😃
These drones are way too lightweight to put anything on let alone a taser module. You'd need a bigger drone, say a racing quad size, and at that point getting your skin chewed on by the props is a real possibility. So, only slightly dangerous, but definitely possible.
With a 3D printer you could just print prop guards and wrap them with wires, then connect those wires to a taser module. That should let you tase people by bumping into them.

Wren, I know you’ve probably gotten this a LOT, but I just wanted to thank you for recommending Mistborn. It has quickly become my favorite series, having just finished book 2. Had the idea to try and animate the various allomancy (and maybe eventually other investiture) effects. As someone who both loves VFX and good fantasy books, I can’t thank you enough for all the inspiration you give.

Why not? It's by all means not the most perfect book and kind of confusing in the later books, but I think it has a pretty cool sci-fi fiction perspective on the world.
I really liked the first book and LOVED the second book, but the third book started losing me. I haven't listened to the fourth or any further in the series after reading reviews that it basically continued the specific things I didn't like with the third book.

A little bit of full circle on this one. Corridor's "Drone Star Wars" introduced me to freestyle miniquads via Rotor Riot, which got me following tons of FPV stuff online, which linked me back into Flite Test (because fixed wing is way cheaper than 5" drones), whose material I'd only glanced at once or twice before. I started getting into flying RC fixed wing right around when Wren attended Flite Fest and showed it off on Salmon Eagle. Now I'm putting money away for an Acrobee setup, and here you guys have them roll into your shop. Wheels within wheels. :D

First off, between Node and Corridor, you guys are both killing it with these fun little games. And using the janky video from the FPV makes it look perfectly like some dystopian tech. Second, this is the first time I actually hated to mute part of the sponsored segment (just the spoiler part) because you guys ALWAYS suggest some great fiction, and both Niko's excitement to suggest and the experience that Wren has going in blind instantly sounded interesting. Because just the idea that several people recommend it to him based his previous audible suggestions is a great selling point.
They didn't suggest it to me based off my previous suggestions. These were close friends who recommended it to me because they know who I am. Unless you meant to include the word "and" there haha... At any rate, the book is really interesting so far!

I've thought about this. Including large heavy drones that can pin individuals to the ground until they can be apprehended. The future will be... interesting...
The drone game should be a full episode on node it was really entertaining to watch hope it was just as fun! Including like a “key” that one of the four inmates have to carry would add more of a challenge and strategy to both teams. That key would be the only true escape to the end point. If the inmate would lose the key one would have to go and grab it from the tazed inmate (it would resemble like other chasing games you guys have played just now in real life). Having an extra drone as a spare if one can’t get back up would make a better image of a sci-fi like chase scene. I know how you guys like to try to find games that seem only possible in video games come to life in reality!

That's awesome! I hope you enjoyed them! Now you need to listen to the Stormlight Archive, starting with The Way of Kings. They're in the same universe, so the whole Ruin/Preservation aspect of gods is reflected with some different gods on the stormlight planet. It's SO GOOD!
