The winged logo is the Schneider eras of douchey guys and their airplanes.

Love my avenger 42. Didn’t think I would without wings and now love it more because it doesn’t have them

What is the real story behind killing the logo on the Avenger models?

I don’t think the Schneider era and the preShcneider era were bridged. The new Chronomat doesn’t even resemble the older Chronomat, the avenger is missing a lot of key details even if keeping the general form, the superocean is nothing alike. Atleased the Navitimer is good.
In contrast the older relaunches are really really good

Just recently put new Chronomat next to my 44 Chronomat from 2016,the difference was amazing. They definitely using cheaper materials nowadays and it's visible

Personally, my opinion that Apple watch unveiled the interest to the analog watch to younger people. Apple watch was a perfect marketing tool for an analog watches. Swiss watch industry should thank to the Apple as it breathe a new and interesting life to it.

He "signed the contract" with Breitling, then found out about its history? I would have done my due diligence before I signed the contract. But, hey, maybe that's why I'm not CEO of Breitling... It's not always about the brand, but more about the money, lol!

A CEO’s responsibility is to increase profits, reduce costs and reduce liabilities for shareholder returns. That’s what he was hired to do, and he was a proven commodity coming in.

Not a surprise you don’t understand the purpose of a for-profit entity. It’s to be expected nowadays

@@JackoWillMakeLives-loveu The Hans Wilsdorf Foundation seems to be doing OK, thank you very much! The point I was making (which seems to have gone over your head - perhaps to be expected, given the general dumbing down in educational standards nowadays) is that it appears Georges Kern was seduced more by his remuneration package than by the horological history of Breitling.

Why did they change the badge from what used to look like Aston Martin wings to a 'B' like a Bentley?
Used to be an aviator's watch

The Breitling removal of the winged logo from aviation-related models is "...eh, wtf?" Prices went beyond logic. The whole range is diluted by some irrelevant car-inspired ("Breitling Cars" Cafe Racers ,Rugby runners and nonsense Surfers), or even worse "Hong Kong" styled dress watches. Boy George Kern "woked" Breitling and killed the original spirit of their identity !! Speaking of watch fairs, how come that Breitling is not present at Watches and Wonders in Geneva? Oh yes, like last year a cheap DJ Set up at the Breitling Boutique in Geneva was the "cost cutting" compensation to those kid's out there

sure maybe your sales are doing great but Breitling no longer has a story or a narrative. Its just another watch brand and its no longer exciting to see what your brand is doing. @theoandharris hit the nail on the head and this interview solidified it. That aside, seems like a nice guy lol

The fact that they have taken the company from sub 300 million dollar company to a Billion dollar company in less than 7 years, suggests that they know what they are doing.
