- This is drone footage from the cruise port in Grand Turk. The Carnival Breezed was docked in port and it was a windy day for a drone. I wanted to show how beautiful the beach and port area is around Grand Turk.

Beautiful footage, where exactly did you launch from? Also what drone did you use? I'm going there in 2 weeks and I want to fly, but I don't want anyone hassling me.
Grand Turk is my second favorite beach Island now.
This video is mesmerizing! The black in the sand with the waves reminds me of sand art in glass that was popular in the 90s.. beautiful video Scott!

Loved this video of Grand Turk! Grand Turk is one of our favorite ports. I was surprised how far you flew the drone, I would be worried to have lost it. Thanks for sharing.
Yeah, I had to cut the flight short because the winds were real bad. It kept pushing my drone further out so it freaked me out a bit. 😀 Thanks for watching!
I was too. The Mavic has good range and you can't beat that awesome picture. The local authorities are really cool when it comes to drone pilots in Grand Turk, unlike other places.

Carnival allows drones but you can only take them out in the ports. That is, if the port allows it. I walked outside the designated port area to fly in this case. Thanks for watching. :)

You will be surprised how many locals come up while you are flying to see how your picture is. I had the police there asking questions about price, limitations, and if it came in other colors. As long as you are being respectful of others then you're sure to be ok.

Great video. I love my DJI Phantom 3 and also put it up in Grand Turk to get some great footage. I had a windy day but it looks like you had great weather on your side. Keep up the good work.
Ha! Funny thing was the wind was terrible up in the air. I wanted to get footage around the back and other side of the ship/beach, but the wind took the drone out towards the sea. I had a hard time getting it back and I still have anxiety over it! :D Thank you for watching!
@@ScottsonDeck No problem at all. I love my Phantom 3 standard because it has a good bit of weight to it, but overall looking at the Mavic Mini for my next drone just because it's a lot smaller to take and east to get up, get shots, and get down. Look forward to the rest of your content.

Great footage, Scott!! Did you have any issues flying your drone? I was warned at Nachi Cocom the last time I was there that the Mexican FFA-equivalent office requires special permission prior to flying a drone down there. Just wondering since I would love to shoot footage like yours on my next few cruises. Thanks!
Thank you. You can’t fly in Carnival owned/managed ports such as Grand Turk. I walked beyond the property lines and that is how I got this footage. As I understand it, Nachi Cocum doesn’t allow drone use on their property, and if your drone weighs over a certain amount, you have to register it. I didn’t take mine to Mexico on my last trip, but I might do some more research and bring it in a few months when we go back.
@@ScottsonDeck Sounds like we both have some research to do, LOL. I will be using the Typhoon H, which I'm quite certain will have to be registered. Guess I'll have to do that prior to my cruise. I look forward to your new footage.
By the way, looks like I will be in the same Spa Balcony cabin y'all had on the Breeze, I'm sailing her for my birthday this year, then aboard the Radiance when they reposition her to Galveston in May 2021. I'd love to get drone footage of her going through the Panama Canal!
