Environmentally-friendly ductile iron production

The use of magnesium ferrosilicon (FSM) nodularizer in the treatment of molten iron in the ladle creates a strong reaction, resulting in decreased nucleation and inconsistent magnesium recovery. However, these difficulties can be greatly addressed by employing a specifically designed conditioner, also known as a cover alloy, in sandwich and tundish ladles.
