How to fix Ethernet speeds or WiFi lag problems easily
Today we are looking at a very simple easy fix for poor Internet connectivity and random lags spikes or disconnections.
This is a often overlooked aspect and can easily fix a lot of connection issues.
The best place to start is to make sure that your Windows 10 or Windows 11 installation is actually using the right drivers for your network devices.
Windows and Windows Update will often try to install a "generic" driver that will work, but it might not be tailored to the chips on the network devices you actually have.
So to cure this (hopefully) Go to the motherboard manufacturers website and get the drivers directly from them.
In the case of you using an addon card or USB adapter, the same applies, head over to the manufacturers site and get the recommended drivers for your device.
This small thing can cause a lot of problems, and is also a good idea to do this for diagnostics to determine what the fault of your slow or patchy Internet actually is.

Great reminder as I would blame kcom first lol Luckily our wifi setups are intel driven and their app auto checks for new drivers on pcs for both wifi and bluetooth. Honestly never thought to recheck lan drivers and my pc is hard wired. Thanks for tutorial Mike and Kath 🐈👍
For Realtek LAN drivers, there is a good, usually more recent unified installer from Realtek - unfortunately, the 8852BE wireless seems to one that only has OEM drivers

Question, I am a PC noob here and I have just built a new gaming PC however I am having troubles with Windows 11 trying to connect to the internet. I troubleshooted what the problem is and it says Intel(R) Ethernet Controller (3) I225-V adapter is experiencing driver-or hardware-related problems. The motherboard in question is the MSi Z790 Gaming Plus WiFi. The bios is all up to date, but I feel I have missed out on something crucial here. I don't suppose you have any ideas to this? Possibly what I need to download to rectify this? I look forward to your response.
install the chipset drivers from the motherboard website and then install the intel wifi and lan drivers

in the bios you can disable the igpu
@@mikesunboxing Oh ok. So you actually have to manually disable it. I thought its autamatic. Sir, I have watched many pc builds but i have not heard them say that you have to manually disable it.
