    I admire the beautiful preservation of their cultural artifacts for the younger Ivorian generation to see how life was back in those days. Grand Bassam has lots of French colonial architectures. Wow! That’s some good food. Thanks Stella. 👍🏿🇺🇸

    Nice video! I wish you had a tour guide to explain the meaning of the various artifacts, and to tell us about the old building. The food looks good, and the presentation is excellent. I Big Up the waiter!

    Akans are in Ivory Coast too. Most of them migrated from Ghana before colonization. We are all the same people. Just like the Ewes in both Ghana and Togo.

    Grand Bassam is in the Akan speaking region of Cote d'Ivoire.
    Granted that you may not be Akan but did they explore whether a tour guide in a local language such as Twi, Nzema Ebrie was available ?
    This is where we shoot ourselves in the foot we dont try to make our languages relevant

    Grand Bassam was part of Ghana's territory the British handed over to the French. From Bondouku, Agniblikro, Agbengorou to Grand Bassam were all part of Ashanti territory

    • @kwawkwansah2452
      @kwawkwansah2452 Před 2 lety +1

      Ghana did not exist until 1957
      Nor is it Asante territory
      It may have been part of the Asante empire for a short while but not at the time the europeans divided it
      I believe Grand Bassam is part of Ebrie territory who are Akan, although there are a lot of Nzemas there.
