Persephone & Hades

- You all know how much I love greek mythology so here's another.
Persephone is taken to the underworld where she's wilting because it's such an aweful place. Hades is upset because she's no longer the cheerful bright goddess that she used to be. When he says something Persephone tries to grow a tree in the underworld but Hades burns it because he despises living things. Persephone is depressed at the thought of being trapped and sourounded by death and Hades is angry with his new bride.
Demeter and Zeus are sad about their daughters abduction and the world has gone cold.
Zeus finally goes to the underworld to demand his daughter be returned. Persephone is returned and with her the spring but Hades is waiting till he can take her back.
This is not how the actual myth goes.

This was extreamly hard to do that's why it's so simple without much effects. I'm doing videos off of my laptop now and without a mouse so it's hard to be exact with cutting and editing.

Personally I always thought that Persephone and Hades were actually happy together. Almost all other greek myth couples have crazy fights and problems except these two.

I remember first reading the Hades and Persephone myth from my Greek mythology book when I was little, heh. ^_^ I loved your take on the story! The Sprite as Persephone was genius as well! She is so gorgeous; I adore that part of Fantasia 2000. :) I really liked when she returned to Olympus and all the other gods and goddesses were welcoming here home. Amazing work! :)

Persephone is from Fantasia 2000, her piece in the movie is called Firebird Suite. It is a great movie to watch. I don't know the song of this video though.

Persephone is the daughter of Demeter AND Zeus. making her a goddess even though she wasn't one of the main better known ones. In SOME of the telling of the story Zeus gave hades permission but in other he didn't, I've never heard of it being forced on him.
I'm also limited in being able to tell a story in under 3 minutes so I've taken creative liberties.

The myth is that there was a beautiful girl called core and she went out to pick some berries.Hades saw hew and fell in love so he opened up a hole in the ground to pull her in.which he did. And he forced her to marry him but she refused Demeter found out that core was missing and went to Zeus to tell him to do something to save her.Meanwhile hades gave core a new name Persephone.After 3 years Zeus went to the under world to get core (Persephone) but if she had food from the underworld she coul

Very brilliant, using the sprite from Fantasia 2000 and Hades/Zeus/Hera from Hercules! My question, so does this mean that Hades and Persephone were uncle/niece? Did the Greek gods condone incest?
I've seen versions where he was sad he had the underworld and versions where he specifically picked to rule the underworld, it all depends on the version of the story you create. Greek myths didn't really give us too many details like that, so it gives room to make up certain feelings the characters would have.

Well, her parents were both gods so she be couldn't be human, and he wasn't really forced. He went and asked Zeus to marry her because he loved her, and Zeus told him to kidnap her because Demeter wouldn't let her go.

That is true but when I said forced on him I mean hades being god of the underworld he was tricked Zeus originally Hades loved Demeter but when Persephone was born felt betrayed because she was the child of Zeus. Later on he became more attached to her because she reminded him of Demeter when she was younger that leads into the tale of Virgo but I see your point I wasn't be disrespectful in any just to let you know

Her mom she ate a pomegrante and six seeds so she had to stay with hades for six months then she came back and demeter was happy persehone was happy to see her mom but she came as queen of the underworld and she fell in love with hades thats the story
