      Hi. I just had my Force delivered today but I can't make my Fa06 talk to it. I've upgraded to the latest firmware but I'm having a hard time determining the destination output port.
      I tried it with the stock firmware and I could happily route the midi out of Force to Midi in of Fa06 and have the audio out of Fa06 come into the Force with two separate channels; one for the midi and one for audio. But I guess I'm just a dumb hobbyist and whatever I do I can't make it work. Thanks in advance.

      I was thinking of utilizing the progression feature of the Force with the sounds of the Fa06 (and in due process, effectively rendering the Fa as a sound module) however it would also be nice if I could record parts of the keyboard into the Force, especially the passages that are hard to reproduce on the 64 grid layout. Spoilt for choice but Still wet behind the ears in terms of standalone machines.
      A fix would be highly appreciated.🙏

      @@pallavchakraborty6188 i don't think there's anything to 'fix' you just need to understand how midi works.. FA has track mutes btw..... you can also render separate tracks out to stereo wav files on it's SD card them import them into the force.. lot's of options out there.
      or you can mute some tracks on the FA then 'sample' the unmuted tracks into the force.... rinse and repeat for each part you need.

I have all 4 tracks from the JDXI loaded as individual MIDI tracks on the force. The problem is that if i change the loaded program for one of the tracks, it changes the loaded program on all 4 tracks to different programs. Is there a way to change the loaded program on each individual track, without it changing the loaded programs of the other JDXI tracks? If that makes sense.... • @MatthewStratton
      @MatthewStratton  Před 3 lety

      The Force runs the MPC 3 OS. That is normal. You should be able to shutdown with power button. If it doesn’t work then it needs to be repaired. If you unplug without shutting down you will likely get an error when powering up again. When you shutdown you should be given an option to save or not. You should contact Akai Pro support if you are having issues.

    Most videoś like this don´t show the real show stop in the deepth. In Akai MPC you can use programm change on a track and use track mute. You use sequences in AKAI mpc and by changing the sequence the external synthesizer can be set to a different presets. I thought this would be equal on FORCE with clips, but it isn´t. You can only change the preset of an external synthesizer by automation line in your clip. Now the trouble starts, because the automation has a conflict with your first note in your clip, some synthesizer glitches and make weired sound like Virus Ti1, Prophet 08 Rev 2, Pro3. I would like to see a video with external hardware, using Force as a sequencer and using the clips. To setup up a live rig with a drum machine, 2-3 synthesizer.... Maybe I go back to MPC and use sequences and track mute, instead of clips on the force. I tried to use a midi controller to send programm changes is not working, and it doesnt send it to all tracks, only the focused ones....

    NO PLAY PAUSE on Force Arranger, can we PAUSE on playback? Stop always brings the arranger back to measure 1? Anyone know how to pause playback?

      Stop makes play cue stop where it is. Play starts play back at the beginning. Shift + Play starts playback where your play cue is. Stop = Pause. Shift + Play = Unpause.

      @@MatthewStratton yeah man it really does. I’m in love with the unit. Made 6 beats. Then stopped cuz I got more into playing it live. Then I could not stop finger drumming. I even stopped writing songs. And I just got good at finger drumming. I’m yet to play a live set. But need a working unit to be able to do that. Was planning on incorporating it to a show my band has at the end of the month. But ima have to wait more to start performing live with a unit. I believe the force will be even better. But omg the mpc one is so amazing one day I’ll get one again. Because yeah. I didn’t even get to try it with my drumset. For triggering samples thru midi and those sensores. I had barely got my hands on an old Yamaha electric drum machine to use it with the mpc. Much love Matt!

    brotha could you please. do a video on signal flow. how you route the Akai force with Logic Pro X. to make the Akai force slave to Logic Pro x, please. no one ever shows this not even Akia. I've been playing with gear for over 28 years and went to Los Angeles recording School. the one thing that they all miss year after year, tutorial after tutorial, school after school is how to hook the gear up. can't even hire people from guitar center. Come on brotha, looks like you been doing music just as long as me. I know you know how hard it is when you get a new piece of gear to learn how to connect just to make it sync correctly and play. Theres only two videos ever made and its always how to slave everything to the Akia force but what about having my daw control it all. Please brotha, please could you make a video just showing how to connect the Akia force and slave it to Logic Pro X.
    The company never even does this. again, you know how hard it is to get new gear to sync all in unison. I've read the manual 12 times now. went thru every step, watch the only video on youtube that shows how to sync Akia force with Logic Pro x. and he fails to ever show what to click to get this to work correctly..
    The Akai syncs but then when you changed tracks in Logic Pro x. t o like edit a wave form, or choose another midi track in the box. the sound on the Akia tracks no longer make a sound. I can create a new track on the Akia and choose a sound but if I choose another track in logic or try to edit a track in logic, then go back to the Akia, it no longer will trigger the sound on the pads. the sound is loaded nothing has changed its just that the track shows like a ghost signal but not a real signal makes a sound any more. I don't know why. The day I learn how to hook the midi up correctly I'm doing a video for every DAW. logic, pro tools, and Ableton. Ive had the force for 2 months and still can't get this to sync to where I can record. please Akia make tutorials how to sync your gear with the most popular DAW in the world. just a thought. a website that shows how to do this with new gear that comes out would be golden. no one had ever done this yet around the world. not one site. new gear, go to website that show you step by step how to sync it with your daw. new mini Moog, show how to sync with your daw, new Mpc, show how to sync with your daw, new Roland keyboard, show how to sync with you daw. how do you slave these to your daw. so you can do the simplest thing and record. why does this site not exist. im so confused. its soooooo need. no one can denie it. everyone has bought new gear and the companies completely forget to tell us how to slave it to your daw. even when adats came out, you have to lean by your self how to sync that brc with midi. it was a bitch if you didn't have someone to show you how to do this. no youtube back then. and its still just as difficult.
    do you know how many people must be lost like me, and im very familiar with gear. all Ive been is doing music my whole life. and I have a degree. and its still very difficult to sync these two. My father who's a musician has always had to hire people to hook his new gear up for decades. I know everyone knows this. midi is a bitch. no way Im the only one with this problem. unless no one wants to slave there akia force with there DAw. but everyone in the comments acting like they got this to work seamlessly with syncing and signal flow. no way. there all lying no way they got it to work perfectly. just noway. I've Called all my studio friends everyone is at a loss. If there's a website for people to come to your house and hook up your T.V. and Modem. You know it is well over do to have a business that when you buy New gear someone will come to your housed hook it up and show you how to use it. Studio Rats have Wished for this for over 30 years but still isn't a business for it.

    WARNING: A lot of gear are NOT recognized by Force via USB: AIRA Gear, Korg keyboards (Minilogue, Prologue). So, the USB SOLUTION at the end is NOT a valid upgrade!!!!
