Well, there's a reason they went with an imitation of him with Sonic X and the games afterward for 5 years, it really fits him. I think Roger Craig Smith is the best personally but Ryan sure had his moments

y'all talking about Sonic being able to swim in the Lost Labyrinth thanks to the goggles, but is no one gonna talk that there are no enemies in the whole level?
nobody talks about that because its a secret part from labyrinth zone so that means eggman didnt find it and didnt put any robots in it

@@marcasmannarino2924 Probably fell in there or Eggman probably realized that it was too dangerous to waste resources but forgot to remove the signpost.
Besides, the lack of rings throughout the area with the only ones being in the shape of a giant ring and the only monitor in the area was already destroyed means that part of the Labyrinth was slowly losing stability and eventually most resources like rings were starting to fade away or got removed by the environment's instability.

Watching this felt like I was watching someone else play, it felt less like an animation, and more like actual gameplay :D All the animations were very fluent, and they felt more realistic. Great job!

The level design was so well done, I feel like it was part of the game’s code that was just commented out! Really felt like they classic game! Great work.

I know they aren't canon, but in the pre reboot archie comics, sonic was actually able to swim, he just hated water.

Those goggles are a punch in the nuts to anyone who played an underwater level in a sonic game.
On another note I would absolutely love to watch an entire Death Egg Saga series
(Sonic 1 through S3&K) made in this manner with the adventure, excitement, drama,... basically anything that Jedi don't seek.
Maybe with voice acting! I don't know. It would be a massive project but I think it would be very popular.
The interesting that sonic is not only able to swim & not drown with the help of goggles, but he manage to skip to scrap brain zone instead star light zone.

If those goggles & hidden act were added in the original game, it would've made it even TWICE as successful as it was. Even coupled with the ability of Sonic been able to swim, pick up & throw objects would be quite the advantages against Eggman. In the end the exit became a bypass route around Star Light Zone & Sonic arrived on the outskirts of Scrap Brain Zone.

Imagine a Sonic 1 rom hack where each zone has a secret one act zone where you unlock secret power-ups for the rest of the game and these secret zones teach you how to use them.
Labyrinth Zone is already covered so feel free to post the names of these hidden zones and secret power-ups I'll go first:
Marble Zone: Lava Ruins Zone- fire shield
Starlight Zone: Galaxy Shield (Decreases Gravity)

3:05 sorry, but it does not feel good even in animation. If you are using some constant force to move counter resistance to make object move at the constant speed you would need to use greater force when you add another object to be pushed, but before you manage to infuelcing it with greater force, it would slow down bcs friction is greater than before at instant. So for better feel in that animation Sonic would need to move a little bit slower.
All we need to do is go debug mode and put down a bubble shield
