    The guitar player is Angus Young and the dance he is doing is the Duck Walk made popular by Chuck Berry

    • @jeff316
      @jeff316 Před rokem +12

      A very elementary form of the duck walk was originated by Chuck Berry, but it was Angus Young, who took it to a whole other level, who made it popular. It is now synonymous with him.

    I have been to two AC/DC concerts. They were the best two concerts of my life. Two full hours of rocking out, and there is no way you can stay sitting down. There was absolutely no "down time" - no b*** s**t talking to the crowd, just non-stop music. It's obvious I loved the first concert because I went a second time. 🎸🎸🎸🎸

    I worked at the Hammersmith Odeon in London during the early 80's and saw AC/DC a load of times. Every time it was awesome. Relentless, full on Rock music that actually had the outer doors leading to the street physically 'moving' with the beat of the songs as so much air was being moved by the speaker stacks!!! People (including me) would walk out at the end of the gig gig feeling like they'd been caught in an 'air raid'!

    This Australian band with Scottish roots, formed in the early 1970's. This song was released 1980 from memory. This is the video release. There are no tricks like the modern age, this is pure brilliant musicianship & still going today. They were as good in the 70s as they are today. This is the new lead singer after Bon Scott sadly passed but he was equal to the job. He is from Northumberland England. Or Newcastle. Look I am so glad to see young people seeing what we baby boomers grew up with. In Australia back then, there was a thriving Pub band scene where you could see all these bands live. That time has now passed. Take a look at LIVE AT RIVER PLATE 2009, they are then in their 50s. Try playing as well as they did. It is Angas Young on Lead guitar.

    Welcome to AC/DC. You should check out "Whole Lotta Rosie" Live at River Plate.
    The frontman is Brian Johnson, he took over after the original frontman Bon Scott died. He used to front a band calked Geordie. They did a great cover of "The House of the Rising Sun". Once when asked how he keeps his voice so strong, Brian smiled and told a reporter, "Whiskey and a pack of cigarettes a day!"
    The lead guitarist is Angus Young, and he's been playing like that for years and does that every night they perform.
    The real soul of the band was their rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young(Angus' older brother). He was considered by many to be the best Rhythm guitarist in Rock. Sadly he died a few years ago from complications of dementia.(R.I.P).

    Angus Young. His brother Malcolm passed away not long ago. So tragic. The only other band whose songs I've played besides my own is Led Zeppelin, but I must confess, I had to learn the intro to Thunderstruck when I heard it because of my classical roots. You actually play it one-handed doing pull-offs, and boy do your fingers get cramped! Angus is a true guitar god with unbelievable fretboard-fingering endurance. I love him, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck (who also recently.passed), and Danny Gatton (one of the least known greats). Gatton committed suicide just as his star was rising because he had a stroke and couldn't play anymore. His rendition of "Harlem Nocturne" is unlike any other.

    My very first concert ever, ACDC Back in Black tour. I was 15 years old. The energy was off the chart. Entire album is a banger. All their songs are bangers. My fave: "Its a long way to the top if you want to rock and roll". Its my "go to" song when I need to psych myself up for work.

    Angus Young’s strut is pure Chuck Berry.

    Saw them in the mid 70's when Bon was still the lead singer. At the end, Bon walked out into the audience with Angus playing lead on a wireless guitar while sitting on his shoulders...Heh...

    My friend, music is so manufactured and processed today and most of it produced by computers. These guys played real instruments and sang with no effects. You had to have talent because there was no faking it. That's why, honestly, there will likely never be concerts like this again. Or at least not many.
    I hope you have fun going down the metal and rock rabbit hole.

    I saw ACDC about 10 years ago at Wrigley Field in Chicago and it was so lit that I was still getting goosebumps days afterward every time I played it in my mind!!! Brian Johnson is the lead singer and his voice is one of the main reasons (besides the antics and shredding guitar of Angus Young) that makes them unique. Brian Johnson replaced Bon Scott after Bon's death. Bon Scott's voice is just as unique as Brian Johnson's. Plus, Bon Scott was a showman whereas Brian Johnson was awesome, but didn't have the stage presence that Bon Scott had (not knocking Brian Johnson though, he's still awesome). The first original singer that ACDC didn't have an original voice in my opinion. His voice was the typical sounding 80's rock singer's voice. I don't think they would've gotten as far as they have if they kept their original singer. Listen to 'Dirty Deeds Done Cheap' and/or 'She's Got The Jack' if you're interested in listening to Bon Scott's voice (I highly recommend you do). Also, one more suggestion is for you to listen to 'Don't Stop Me Now' and 'Bohemian Rhapsody' by Queen (I promise you won't regret it). Freddy Mercury of Queen has the voice of an angel, in my opinion of course.
