  • This posting was the result of me trying to rescue my failing out-of-print DVD. I thought: Why not share it? After all, Gary is “hotter than hot”, is he not, when it comes to his Django chops?
This is part two of a concert that was filmed 'live' in a small intimate club called Central Station in Wrexham, North Wales, England in 2000. Gary Potter is one of the more distinctive voices among the Django “disciples,” and brings not only dazzling virtuosity to his Gypsy Jazz playing, but also a great personality and a sense of humor as you will see in his interview. The trio is comprised of Gary playing solo guitar, along with Nils Solberg on rhythm guitar, and Andy Crowdy on upright bass.
This was all I could rescue! We’re only missing the intro of the first song from this 2nd set. Not bad! I will be filling in the song titles a bit later!

Thanks so much for all you do for guitarists. (Ted Greene lesson tapes also). I am into Django music and only saw a short clip of Potter before. Wow. He's like the Scotty Anderson of Gypsy Jazz. Cool how the bass player smiles at each amazing, blazing run of Potter's. That "Georgia Brown" was killer.
