Interesting bit of trivia: the Verzasca Dam (04:40) is the site of James Bond's (Pierce Brosnan) bungee jump at the begnning of Goldeneye (1995). It is the highest bungee jump from a structure ever done in an movie (722 ft/220m). (The jump was of course performed by a stuntman).

From the second stop the river appears to have a significant flow during snow melt and heavy rain. The sculpted rock tells a story. Most of the route from just below the first dam appears to be of a similar age, with bridges, tunnels and with a consistent design of retaining walls right to the top. Is there still an of the initial road, path. pack horse route visible or are they absorbed in the current road or under the dam?
