- What is it like to be the 'Bringing Up Bates' mom of 19? I got to ask my mom some questions about how she managed to hold it all together, to cultivate a positive environment and invest into each of us 19 kids in what many might consider challenging or even chaotic upbringing.
Kelly Jo Bates shares the impact that faith and being in God's Word has had in helping her as a wife and as a mother, identifying ways to engage faith as a family and grow together to see the blessings of raising up such a large family.
I hope this conversation with my mom encourages you as it has encouraged me! We're thrilled to be able to share with you these conversations with our family members who were inspirational and instrumental in our lives!

I'm 71. I listen to these wise words. My reminder to encourage moms to take your godly advise is this: you will not get a do-over! And it can be the saddest while you have to wait for the Lord to undo what you messed up.â€

I love Momma Bates outlook on negativity. I remember when I was pregnant feeling so sick and this one night my husband and friend from church wanted to go eat Mexican of all things. I really didnât wanna go but I pushed myself and just getting out of the house and fellowshipping made me feel so much better!

Iâm 42 years old homeschooling my three teen girls l have five kids the older two are young adults l must say Kelly you have helped me in so many ways, lm so encouraged by your words. I love having Bible study with my girls. My husband does weekly devotions with the whole family.

Raising children falls mostly on the mom and is a ministry unto itself, they have a huge responsibility in how the child's outlook on life is and how they grow up to be productive adults...
Mamma Kelly went to God and gives God the glory when she was overwhelmed, we can take a lesson in that for everything in life.. Go to God, he will help!!
Erin and Kelly I truly thank you for this video. I so pray many expectant mamas watch this..I grew up with a very mentally unwell mother, although I love and appreciate her for what she sacrificed for me, she was very down and stressed all the time. She was also insecure and I tried to be different as a mother but did not have the Lord in my life. My children are young adults and it's never too late to change, I have many health struggles and often lately find myself being more down than I wish, this has been a blessing for me to see as I am now a Christian and know that my Lord and Savior loves me, Thank you both again

I love this family- Kelly Jo should teach life lesson classes for moms! She inspires me to be a better mother, wife and friend. All the awful tv shows and movies that are out right now and this amazing family got cancelled. Goes to show what type of world we are living in right now- smh
