    I am not sure if I am a “volume knob player” but I have been called a “knob”

      I've been arrested more than once for "knob playing" in public, but in no case were there any complaints about the level of volume

    Hey John,
    Thanks for taking the time to check it out. We're beyond excited to finally show off the new Adaptive Circuitry with this pedal

      Question is, did you pay him in the form of bags of licorice allsorts? Would save him the inevitable trip to the Co-op.

    So happy to see companies like Origin start sending John pedals to demo.
    Definitely, John is my favorite player who demos pedals on youtube!

    I've been wondering, like a lot of people, what this would be. Pretty awesome to see your video pop up spilling the beans.
    That LP sounds THICC.

    Great demo! I love the Origin Effects pedals. I'll buy this Halcyon. Very good idea the Adaptive Circuitry. Fixes the problem why I don't like the classic Tubescreamer too much.

    JNC, you are such a tasty player. It's also great that you share your knowledge with the world. This pedal is on my wish list. I hope they do the same treatment to a transparent drive style pedal.

    Cool! They did a TS with features that are actually new and useful/musical. And the jacket really sells it. Very nice.

    Hoping you get to keep that 0006 serial number! With the mix knob and the "adaptive-ness", I feel like this may be a hit for the bass...?

    Can you share your signal chain at the beginning?

  • @0megalul309
    @0megalul309 Před 2 lety

    A demo with you using it to boost your mark 3 or any high gain amp would be cool. Wanna see if its better for riding the volume vs a regular ts since using a TS to boost ur vintage plexi adds gain and tightness at the cost of reducing dynamics with the volume knob. Wonder if this doesn't have the drawback.

    hi, are you running into an amp or a multi effects unit?

  • @dannyllerenatv8635
    @dannyllerenatv8635 Před 2 lety

    I love tube screamers when they have a lot of headroom, which it find a lot of TS style pedals to be lacking in the volume and headroom department. People also far too often fear turning the tone knob above 12 on a screamer, which helps big time with the mid hump

      @@flagace4889 the SD 805 and Forza are excellent, I had an 805 for a long long time and have long contemplated grabbing another 805 or Forza

    Not what I expected but ok. I'll make sure to let origin know you're why I bought this thing so they continue to give you opportunities to debase yourself for that sweet elixir that is paid promotion

    What's your signal chain look like in this video? Sounds like you have drive going on before you turn it on. Is it Helix?

    So for roughly $250 after tax… maybe more depending on what country you live in… you can now buy you a tube screamer that has a couple fancy mod modes and has a clean up option… hahahahahahaha people will buy anything…
