Xiaomi Error 15 - Break Lever issue. Fix

So here i will show you how to disassamble the break lever. The error 15 is related to break issue and in most of the cases you could repair it yourself.
First - you have to release the wire from the lever. Unscrew three bolts underneeth. Now the lever can be pulled out. Gently pull it out without loosing
its inner parts.
Now the magnet and the sensor are displaced from each other. I'm turning on the scooter and you can hear the beeping sound with error code 15.
Once i'm aligning sensor with the magnet the error disappears.
Now, when everything is aligned - it is the time to screw everyghing back. Once again - check for the alignment of the magnet and sensor before assembling.
Make sure you align the spring on its original place on the lever and put it inside. It is quite easy procedure.
Immediately after put the bolt inside and tight it up.
The last step is to put the wire back in place. And in order to stretch it squeeze the lever while it is on tension and it will extend the wire from
cable so you can fit the cable back in the pocket.

I did this and it worked. Cleaned the connector even tho it looked perfectly clean. Honestly can’t tell from the vid or from looking at mine what exactly was misaligned. Must just be finicky as taking it apart and putting back together solved the error 15 issue for me. Thanks.

Thanks very much. I was just about to order a new battery then see this video. I noted you need to have the magnet the correct way around or the scooter thinks the brake is engaged and applies motor breaking. I also had to super glue the magnet back in place to keep mine functioning correctly. All in all a great free fix.

I don’t even have a Xiaomi, I got some generic branded scooter and this worked! I didn’t know what I was doing, some of the parts were slightly different.I just took it apart and put it together again and the error went away 😂

I really appreciate this post, my grand daughters scooter stopped working after she came off. I tried just taking the sensor out as many posts suggested. Try the connection of the wires, where the plug from break connects to the socket going to display board

if you found the previous one - just glue it with the right side. If not - then is better to replace the handle with a new one

Check motherboard (controller) if you have another scooter of similar model you can try replacing it (at least to check if it is controller) and see if the issue is really there.

As far as I know - once it is activated - the cruise control is getting deactivated automatically and the recuperation of energy will start - the front wheel does have a break through giving the power back to the batteries.
