Thanks for the ABBA. This very dark song was the last one recorded by ABBA. Both couples had divorced by this point and the engineer said stuff was very somber in the studio by this point. Most of the work was done with each of them coming in separately. He said Agnetha came to the studio alone. Ask him to darken the lights. Then recorded this track. He said the whole studio vibe was very sad and dark. When she finished she took off her headphones, hung them up and walked out the door. He said he knew ABBA was over. But I have to say it's one of my favourites. She and the group performed this one time on "Show Express" in front of an audience. It's my favourite Agnetha performance. ----> czcams.com/video/XZqstxJq0Rw/video.html Thanks again. I know the ABBA stuff is a pain.
Their last song. Its dark, it has the feel that they felt during the recording, its my favourite song from them. It gives me goosebumps every time. Also you can decide what its about. The lyrics can be viewed differently but the instrumentation helps to understand it
how are You? so glad to see you very well "The day before you came" It was the last ABBA song recorded (until the new album "Voyage") although it was not the last single (it was the next, "Under Attack") It was one of the last three that barely entered the Top 30 in the UK, a low expectation for what ABBA was used to. It is said to have been recorded in a dark and damp room, to make it more gloomy and to help Agnetha interpret It's a fiction story, a cryptic lyrics by the guitarist Björn and a dark music by the keyboard from Benny I will be honest of all Their singles this wich I like the least Agnetha's vocal performance is the best, but She is very lonely without a classic ABBA chorus and instrumentation The video is also strange, but it is well achieved, in relation to the story that the lyrics tell again Agnetha looks alone, now as an actress, the rest of the members of ABBA appear only at the end and disaggregated I understand that a lot of fans like it, it is even well ranked in the votes for the best ABBA song (it's #3 for British fans, only behind the #1 "The winner takes it all" & the #2 "Dancing Queen") I also know that is part of research and musical experimentation of the last years of ABBA But this song is not the style of music that I like, and Agnetha remains as a soloist That is why I prefer his other songs, where the four most involved are, in addition to other musical genres I think that, as now You react to the Last ABBA song recording in 1982, in the next You could react the First ABBA song recording in 1972, just ten years ago: "People need love" czcams.com/video/bFp29_-H6sE/video.html (at these time They wasn't called ABBA) Thanks for your reaction I see you in the next GOD bless you and stay safe best regards from Buenos Aires Argentina
This song is so dark in its context of the group, the end of them performing together but at the same time this song is so beautiful and haunting.Very underrated as i think this song is a classic.
This is their saddest and last song before 2021! Swan song, it's goodbye (by now) printed on it, everyone going to separate ways and even Agnetha finds a new man in the video.
Hi again! Good job you are a real ABBAreactor, wanting more like it or not.😁 Ty though. I read somewhere that ABBA got her first Grammy nomination of her career. I STILL HAVE FAITH IN YOU is nominated for recording of the year.🤗 Grams will be distributed in january.=)
I could never decide if I liked this one or not, it kinda hung in a box of undecided songs for me but have always enjoyed listening to it. I think it was trying to be a bit `new wave` during a time of electronic inspired music,
It describes last depressed day (as many others) before she takes her own life. She dreams of someone getting in her life and changing it. It didn't happen, he didn't come, death came. So the day before death came.
What a masterpiece hauntingly beautiful.
I think it is the best song of ABBA. About us
This is actually one of my favourite ABBA songs!
Same!
Me too.
This song grows on you the more youI listen to it. It is now my favourite of theirs.

This song grows on you.
Love the haunting bleak ambience of this track

Brilliant sad song
Best Band Ever
Hello ! We love you to from France ❤
My daily dose of Gracie cuteness
QUE HERMOSO VER LAS NUEVAS GENERACOONES CONOCER LA MUSICA DE ABBA EL MEJOR GRUPO DE TODOS LOS TIEMPOS.
A very beautiful, dark melancholy song. Voted the UK's 3rd most favourite Abba song of all.
Beautiful song - Beautiful Agnetha - Awesome 👍
Their last song. Its dark, it has the feel that they felt during the recording, its my favourite song from them. It gives me goosebumps every time. Also you can decide what its about. The lyrics can be viewed differently but the instrumentation helps to understand it
It's not their last song. See the story@
Simply a beautiful song!
it's very late 80's / early 90's, i'd say... very atmospheric, lonely, and sorrow
Is it a happy end or not?
@@traudesuppan id say dark
It was recorded in 1982. The last song before they broke up until they got back together in 2017.
how are You?
so glad to see you very well
"The day before you came"

of all Their singles this wich I like the least
Agnetha's vocal performance is the best, but She is very lonely without a classic ABBA chorus and instrumentation

Once again a thank you to you, please Abba old to freedom reaction.
This is a hauntingly beautiful masterpiece ❤️
The story of the last day of a Lady who becomes a Spirit ,before the "YOU " came..
One of the great melonic lines of music in more than 40 years
As nordic Abba is like the music of my parents😅 I am from Finland and they are Swedish
Doesn't that make you a Finn born Swed? You people, always popping up everywhere.
@@McMahonHater No. I meant ABBA are swedes but they were huge here in the 70s and 80s so when my parents were kids
This is their saddest and last song before 2021! Swan song, it's goodbye (by now) printed on it, everyone going to separate ways and even Agnetha finds a new man in the video.

Thanks to you Gracie i discover a new song... you enhance this experience for real. Keep going you rock! 😉😍😍

She dreams of someone getting in her life and changing it. It didn't happen, he didn't come, death came. So the day before death came.
I disagree. The point of the song is that her life was unchanging before. The depth of the song would be cheapened if it was about death.
@@Isi-1975 I disagree.
Gosh we nordics are such downers😅😅
It doesn't matter, you're still in love with Tom Jones 😉
😁😁😁
Very disappointing reaction of you. No interpretation, no emotion, no feeling, just playing the song 😢
🤔
