I think I read somewhere that Blizzard increased the drop chance on these rare items in classic tbc. Also did it in vanilla with the bindings and such if I remember correctly

you dont need quiver anymore, the bow doesn't use arrows either.
So basically , you get 1 bag slot more
Because the bow doesn't use ammo you no longer need to use a quiver, so you get the effect of a quiver on the bow.
