As someone who has dedicated my life to volunteering for various animal rescues over the years, bird shows are the only animal shows that I can tolerate anymore. The reason is simple. Birds do whatever they feel like, whenever they want to. I've taken care of abused animals from horses to lions. Parrots are the only creatures I've run across that can't be forced to work. They respond to fear or abuse with shutdown or aggression. They show extremely visible physical symptoms, like feather plucking, when subjected to poor diet or mistreatment. It is so odd that people can abuse tigers and lions and force them to perform stupid tricks out of fear or starvation, yet a 1lb bird won't do what you want it to do with the same intimidation. These parrots and extremely healthy and show no signs of abuse or mistreatment.
These performing birds break my heart. God gave birds wings for a reason. I too have worked with Animal Rescue organizations. The main objective is to eventually set the animals/birds free in the wild again. There is no place in this modern enlightened world for performing animals/birds.
Beautiful birds.. My mom spends hours everyday with her cockatoos! They really love her, it's disappointing to hear the close minded attitudes of those who claim to speak on behalf of animal rights, yet know nothing about the animals the claim to be defending
to make you feel better, birds actually do what they want to do, you cant force or "beat" a bird, so im sure that these people actually built some sort of bond with them
It looks like all these birds get a lot of one-on-one attention, and are given a lot of interactive toys and brain teasers. Parrots love puzzles and have a need to keep their mind occupied, just as with herding dogs, they become destructive when bored and love to learn and be active, and thus make perfect candidates for shows like this. It's like seeing collies or German shepherds run obstacle courses or drive sheep. None of these birds are being forced to do anything. Half the time, the handler wanders into the back and leaves the birds to their own devices, and they do what they've learned, and quite frankly look like they're having fun. They're all beautiful, well behaved, well trained, and don't even have their wings clipped. I don't see why anyone is complaining. If anything, I'm jealous! Can you imagine doing this for a living? Playing soccer with your parrots and getting paid for it? A paycheck for letting your birds play with their toys in front of an audience? He's smiling nearly the whole time, and I can see why.
To all those thinking they are mistreated - the birds can freaking fly. If they truly wanted to leave they could. The fact that these birds fly away from the trainer to collect money and come back shows that they are really content and don't want to leave.
@@sunwukong5413 I honestly don’t think these birds are being mistreated or abused. Nails and beaks are well kept, there’s no signs of feather plucking, they have much enrichment and free flight in an open space, they’re not aggressive or lunging towards humans, they have no wounds, they’re clean, feathers aren’t matted, they’re not trembling.
the basketball one was hilarious! lol. and j like how the cockatoo riding a bike was cool. THE BIRDS ARE GOOD BALANCING ON BALLS! the soccer one was sooooo funny. and the roller-skating parrot was cool too
This is so adorable I can’t. Ahhhh The only worry i have is the birds collecting money with their beaks. Cash is quite dirty in general. Hope they don’t get sick!
Do you guys not see the beaks on the macaws? If the wanted the could easily snap and stuff. If it wasn't treating right and was abused their would be things such as feather plucking and stuff. If the birds where abused by the trainer they wouldn't be flying onto him. These birds are clearly happy and what their doing is stimulating their mind.
Parrots are amazingly smart creatures.. They can never be abused to do sth they don't want to.. They are so emotional that if you do anything bad to them they start hurting themselves and won't obey your orders. These parrots must have been trained with great patience and I'm sure they are all well treated judging by their appearances! You can easily see if a parrot is abused or not!
I honestly believe that the bird's are happy that were shown. As stated before those birds wouldn't survive the wild after years of captivity. They looked like they have had a lot of time spent with them and that makes for a happy birds. They also have a lot of other birds to interact with as well.
yea but the way some zoos teach them is quite litterally by violence. If they dont do it right they get punished, and they probably also have their wings clipped.
To anyone thinking the birds are abused: clearly they are not. Parrots show their emotions very clearly and will pick off their feathers if they are mistreated or depressed. They will also complain VERY loudly. These birds have beautiful plumages in perfect shape. When these parrots are allowed to fly around you see them landing in people's hands. They are incredibly trusting. The cockatoo riding on the bicycle has his head feathers pointing straight up, which indicates happiness/excitement. It's clearly enjoying what it is doing. Show birds in general tend to have better lives than as someone's pet. Parrots are social animals by nature and thrive in mentally stimulating environments.
Yes. exactly. Parrots are smart creatures who crave social interaction and stimulating activity. I bet they prefer "working" to being stuck alone in a cage somewhere. They seem happy and well cared for at this place.
I think right now, it's a fashion to troll around saying abuse to anything that has an animal in the video and other bloggers need to make it clear to them that unless they base their statements on fact, they are going to be flamed with so many facts and rationality that they are shown to be the morons and trouble makers they are..
My blue and glold macaw gets so bored that sometime she pick her feather for fun and if she cant find my dad for 5 hours she yells until he is back or she just get out of her cage and start looking plus my dad taught her to fight GOOD thing he did or shewouldve bin gone she bit me once i tried to pet her and then my noise bleed so much if ahe didnt learn how to fight the people that rob are house wouldve got her but she only attack if your not my dad oh and she is 11 years old
What a grand show . Thank you for sharing this video with the world . And me. In Vancouver B.C. Canada. So enjoyed the rewards of your talent in training the birds. Thank you again sincerely now I think I want a bird also lol
Hey look, you can’t beat a bird into doing what you want them to do if these birds were abused they’d be plucking out their own feathers and trust me as a bird owner myself I know if they don’t trust you they won’t walk onto you or do what you want them these birds are happy and healthy just because it’s china doesn’t mean they can’t train animals properly birds won’t do what you want them to unless they are taught and trust the trainer once again as a bird owner myself I know birds do stuff when they want I can open my birds cage right now and if he wants to come out of it he will if he doesn’t he stays inside these animals are not abused do some research of your own and look up “real abuses bird stories” and study those compared to these birds
@@cyrusmorrow3747 Birds were never meant to be 'owned'... they were meant to fly freely in the wild. I live in Sydney Australia where wonderful parrots fly freely.
If you behave agressive against a bird it will start biting and shying away from you. A bird can not be abused into doing what you want, the only thing you can do is to be patient and giving them treats. To teach a bird this they have to trust you. I don't think these birds are abused.
Easier to accuse and judge people from another race & country other than to train birds like these. Other bird circus videos not from China only got positive responses, unlike this one.
I'll bet that you've never owned a bird before. If they were frightened, they would simply not perform. Birds only show their personality when happy and comfortable.
They do. Even though I’m super late, for anyone reading this comment I want you to know that if they were treated badly they would be plucking their feathers (which they are not).
well there is nothing sad. You can't do anything with a bird unhappy. If the birds are doing this it's because they enjoy what they do and trust their master

For some reason Birds are the closest intelligent species regarding human ways of thinking

Poor parrot it's afraid of flash
You know how many times he slap the parrots before the show
The bird keeper
I don't believe he does, because the birds would attack if that was the case.
They can snap fingers off and bend mental, so I definitely don't believe that that would happen.
kyllä eläimet on tosi viisaita.ja myös erittäin nokkelia tajuaan eri juttuja.
Ha the foot ball trick was funny
Cute
Thst green ring-neck was limping
It might be because they have to put a band on their feet when they perform, just incase someone spooks the bird and it flies away
حلو كتير

this is like a parrot cirkus.. poor parotts
Yeah. Yeah. based on nothing but what? Nothing. Poor you is more like it.

Actually, the birds are not abused in any way, shape, or form, and birds love mental stimulation.
