Very helpful. I bought a used minn kota and am slowly learning what I need to know to be safe out on the water. Thanks!

This was very well done. Thank you for explaining the process step by step and giving the fore-warnings i.e. there will be a little gap in there etc. Nicely done.

Thanks. Made it easier for me to do the same thing for a friend. He had almost the identical problem.

Nice video. It reminded me of a late 70s early 80s kung fu movie. Haha

Great video.. if the pin gets bended would it cause low performance? I hit my trolling motor hard and now it doesn't go as fast as it was b4 even at the 4 or 5 setting. TiA

What size socket are you using to tight the nut? You said the nut is an half inch nut, so what size socket do I need?

I noticed that inside of mine there was a small paper like washer as well. What is it that I found?

The Pin of my minn kota traxxis is also broken. Where did you get a new metal pin? Thanks! .-)

My motor was not working my bearing was kinda coming out so I tapped it back in and now the motor works ???? Any idea why that would make it work

John Snow No sir. The only thing I would think of, is that the bearing keeps it on track to spin correctly. Other than that, I’m not sure of why it wouldn’t completely work. You may have a bent prop shaft if that is the case. Keep in mind, I’m by no means an expert just a diy guy.

@@bbassfishes8974 thanks for your response. After watching more videos I think the brush holders are hanging up and not going out onto the armature. By me tapping the bearing helped free the brush holders because when I tap on the side it turns on. Any ways thanks
