Little known fact, monster snook love snappers. My pops landed a 42" one after it ate the 13 1/2" snapper he was fighting. I also caught a 40" er again on semi-light tackle as I was snapper fishing. Love the drone footage.

For 200 bucks I would buy a Stradic ci4 or FL. Or two Daiwa BGs. Those are all proven reels. Drone footage was awesome! What braid and pound test are you using? Thanks.

That fish under the dock was probably a baby Goliath grouper. They like to hang around the docks in the river

Bad ass vid bro! Those larger snook are big for a reason. Have had better luck in murkier water with them in fort desoto on the yak. Definitely get you a shark rig 5ft steel leader for that Goliath with some sort of cut bait. You’ll get em 👍

I used the osprey 5k and it blew up on me within a month it was when they first came out but I’m not sure how they are now but in my experience I’ll never buy another again. Drag was extremely sticky and the gears inside exploded fishing for snook and jacks. Much rather spend the money on a spinfisher vi or a Saragossa.
We're sorry you had issues with your original 5k, Andre. The original Osprey should never have been expanded to a 5000 size. The original Osprey was designed for sight fishing for redfish, trout, and snook in shallow water, and should have only been offered in sizes 1000 to 3000. We have since changed manufacturers, sealed our reels better, and reinforced the gears on our new Osprey Saltwater Series.
Goliath need to go back lock down drag cup spool trolling motor on reverse when hooked to drag it out

The drone footage of the snook/pinfish eat was awesome! Where are you fishing? Not asking for your exact spots or anything but wondering what city you’re close to.
You may want to measure that Seadek tape measure. It was a big thing some years back that it was not accurate and now Seadek puts out a disclosure that it was not for measuring game. Hopefully they fixed that issue.
Not a Goliath ran too fast, not a Shark cause they don't usually chill in one spot, probably a huge Cubera.

I sometimes use ND filters but not polarizers.

I have the 1000 osprey I love it. Me and several of my friends use them they hold roughly 130yds of 10lb and did I mention it has 22lbs of drag in a 1000

You could literally get another spin fisher for less than that and have the confidence of some sealment and strong gears w corrosion resistance I notice ur spin fisher has always been on the boat with you. Trusty dusty won’t ever get rusty, spinfisher baby. I have more confidence in my grandpas zebco than the fl fishing reels
