We were just at Okada and celebrated New Year's Eve there a few days ago. Everything was damn near perfect - the only thing they can improve on is the Wifi services. Enjoyed their bathtub and pool the most!

25k is the nightly rate but it doesnt include food. You can definitely roam around Okada :)

Mega hotels in the Philippines are indeed better than vegas. Because no hotel in the world is as clean as a Filipino mega hotel. Because all the maids and hotel staff around the world come from the Philippines anyway. So in Manila they have twice or thrice the number of Janitors per square feet of hotel space lol

Jan and Ann. Wow, P25,000 ($500). You guys have a lot of money. If it was me, I would get a cheaper hotel. Look at the money that you can buy a lot of stuff inside a mall. Worth the money? I would say yes only for the first time. Second would be looking for a cheaper hotel.

However, if you follow us on Instagram you’d know that we had taken a small break off social media to spend the last week or so advocating ways to help our beloved Siargao and other places affected by the typhoon . It is an absolute tragedy yes, however we still have work to uphold as creatives. IT IS NICE. Let us be realistic. A minimum wage earner in Manila is P500 per day. You are spending P25K for the hotel stay and dining almost P6K for a young couple.. Are you spending your own money or the parents money? I do not want to judge you but it would be nice to give us an idea what kind of income you two are making.
Spending P30K is equivalent to a two months salary for a minimum wage earner. You could have donated that to the typhoon victims.

I have said enough. Many Filipinos here are not eating 3 times a day. Many in the typhoon victims lack food and shelter. To see a young couple spending so much money in expensive hotel is just like poking the eyes of the poor...
It's their money they have the right how ever they want to spend it. Working abroad makes you want to splurge on your vacation when you go back home to relax and enjoy the stuff you don't have time to enjoy working 12 hrs a day 6 days a week.
