- Men Without Souls is a 1940 black and white crime movie starring John Litel, Barton MacLane, Rochelle Hudson and Glenn Ford. Johnny Adams (Glenn Ford) goes to prison, under a false name, with the intention of killing the captain White (Cy Kendall), a bastard guard, who had beaten Johnny's father to death. Rev. Thomas Stoner (John Litel) newcomer, is the chaplain of the jail, the father is the mayor's opposition Schafer (Don Beddoe), Stoner finds out the intentions of Johnny and persuades him to follow his plan, but when "Blackie" Drew (Barton MacLane) kills White, Johnny is blamed.

Very good acting by all especially Glenn Ford and Lytle with Glenn Ford only about 24 years old there he was born in1916 and this was 1940 my math isn't that good but that's what I got he was good even as a beginning actor or some weren't too bad that Studios didn't think he was good looking enough for leading man roles but later after he gained a little weight he showed them who was the leading man from Gilda on up he was just as good looking as Clark Gable and Tyrone Power

Henry Ford is a good actor.
Clark Gable and Tyrone Power and had more charisma especially more Charisma than Errol Flynn they thought he was such a good leading man they didn't have that casual attitude and confidence he had even as a young Man
