I’m using the Bot mini for my air purifier, the Hub Mini’s to run the water pre warmer and heated seat on a schedule for my bidet. The SwitchBot outlets to run a wax warmer, a couple fans, the portable air conditioners in my apartment ( they work great with my thermostat in HomeKit. I found running A/C and turning it off while it’s running makes (most of) them go into a “resume last operation” mode so you can operate them on a switched (or thermostat operated) outlet.) If I use the same thermostats to run the AC and the heaters I can set very precise temperature settings. Heat to 68F cool to 72F. I had tried to make it work by just setting the thermostat on the A/C itself but the window area is warmer than the rest of the apartment so it would run the AC when I didn’t want to or run the heater and the Ac at the same time. I think I will keep ordering SwitchBots. I want full HomeKit integration though. 😉👍👍
Forgot to mention that my PC is buried away underneath my desk, making it so hard to turn on. SwitchBot makes it easy to turn on my PC with my voice! How do you plan on using the SwitchBot?
There are easily ways to do everything here. Garage can be controlled by a smart garage door opener such as the $30 myQ garage door opener. For the computer there are settings in the bios for the computer to turn on once it’s given power which can be controlled with a smart switch. And there are smart air conditioners and heaters. But the switch bot is definitely a very good way to control these things that works well enough.
The difference is, Switchbot is the same price, yet can work with every single thing with a power button. In other words, one device for almost every use. All it needs is a device with a switch or push button.
@mr.spongylikeaboss4987 The price for the SwitchBot is not the same. If you don't have a SwitchBot hub already, you need to pay $40-$70 for the hub on top of the device to use it with Alexa or Google Home, its main selling point. And even if you have the hub, you can get a smart plug for $10 which is frequently on sale. Also, I never said it was a bad device, I think it's a fantastic device. But that doesn't mean that there's no better ways to do things. All I was doing was providing better ways to do everything in this video.
Hi. May i know how many schedule timer can set using SwitchBot with SwitchBot Mini Hub? Because currently my SwitchBot (not yet buy SwitchBot Mini Hub) can set maximum only 5 schedule timer. Thanks
Hi there, when i try to create a scene it says not connected! Otherwise when i click on it in the app it actually moved, that means somehow that it is connected! I'm so confused, is there any detailed video for how to connect it correctly??
I have a MyQ garage opener and once in awhile it will glitch and not you close the door. The MyQ requires you to close the garage door by the wall switch to clear the error. This tool should allow me another means to close my garage door if the MyQ fails and a way to clear the glitch if it gets stuck. MyQ has the worst customer service and an equally shitty product but it's about the best option for opening and shutting the garage when away. I get packages and this allows me to open the garage to let delivery drivers put my packages in the garage.
Thanks for the demo and info, have a great day
Ty so much!

It's going to come! With matter!
Seems like a terribly useful and simple device. Worth looking into and thanks for publicising its utility.
Interesting. Awesome but really simple ideas!
Great video. Thanks!
Looks like an awesome solution for my stereo!
Let's go
At 2:54 the video turned off my heater via my Google Assistant! 😢
Kawabonga!
Thanks for the video , could you use it to reset a device that requires press and hold for 20 seconds?
hey great vid! do you need the hub to be able to power on the pc when you’re away from home? or does the lil bot connect directly to wifi
It uses the hub to be on the cloud!
I go overseas and use parsec but I don’t want the comp to run 24/7, thank you for the info! I’ll get both

How do you plan on using the SwitchBot?
How's the battery life?

Awesome video! Thanks! Have you considered using "Wake on LAN" to power on your PC? No mechanical parts needed.
Yes, I did mention it, but its a pain to setup and my pc uses wifi, not ethernet cable due to distance
@@JSyntax Wake on LAN works over WiFi too. It's call Wake on WLAN
@@pixels_per_inch yea but only in the at home Network, I'm using the switchbot for my pc, while I'm out of home
@@alexanderscatov912 It'll work through Ethernet as well but exposing your WOL is a big security concern. I just use my own system haha.
@@pixels_per_inch exactly, that's why I will be using a switchbot, via the app, I don't want to expose m home network

I've never asked out of more than one I'm surprised eat more than 5 perhaps there's a memory on board limit that limited to only five
With Hub Mini no limite.
Are you able to set it on a time basis? like for example, activate every 10 seconds repeatedly? seeing to use it on my controller lol
Hi there, when i try to create a scene it says not connected! Otherwise when i click on it in the app it actually moved, that means somehow that it is connected! I'm so confused, is there any detailed video for how to connect it correctly??
Could you please tell me how to use the timer?
I have a problem. My switchbot extension trigger is too much. It lifts the switchbot up when triggered
Double sided tape
Hi, is it possible to program it without a hub (push the Button at a certain hour) ?
I believe it has on board memory with a schedule
Have you tried using switch bot with slide switches? I have an old ac controller with a slide switch for COOL - OFF - HEAT
Does it work with an Infrared remote?
@@JSyntax I don’t think it came with a IR remote. I’ll ask my apt manager
Great!
Hub needs to be in line of sight of the device for IR to work ?
no
@@JSyntax will it still work if its behind a wooden door ?
I didn't know they made such a thing LOL Thanks for the education.

Looking to throw you some promos to our smartwatch games to give to your fans, not sure how to reach you
Wyze sells a camera and remote function for $50
first
Is it possible to have it push a button and hold it down for a few seconds before releasing it?
