I looked at 3 compensators and I like my threaded barrel. This one has 2 options to scar your barrel up. Brandon talked to me about how much abuse they put on these. I see it like this, if you want a threaded barrel, get the disruptive. It doesn't drop the light. The 45, drops the light. The disruptive comes with 2 kinds of set screws. Hard duty and light duty. Canik rules. I've loved my caniks since 2014. Thanks again, Brandon.

Brandon, im sorry, I took everything off of my SFX. I had 2 stoves in 1 mag of 115 grain. I had 3 stoves with the 124 grain in 1 mag. The canik gold barrel wouldn't take the 147 grain. Didn't even try the 158 grain. I liked the way my stock Canik was. Now, I still like the single flute on my SC, im keeping it on. Thanks for your help. Im keeping my 3 SFX Caniks stock. Good luck in your business.

I understand. After our numerous conversations and having issues with your gun being that dirty, I can only assume the ammo is causing this issue. The cleaner the ammo, the more efficient the comp will work. I believe that if we continued working on the variables, we could get it worked out. We have hundreds (if not thousands) of your exact setup out in the wild with no known issues so I'm confident it can be worked out. Feel free to reach out any time if you want to continue troubleshooting.

@kipmiller7703 is this your first weapon with a compensator? As Brandon said, there are variables that come into play, both with ammo and spring rates. I have had some guns that run better than others with the same comp that needed a little something to get it tuned right...whether it was the recoil spring needed changed or broke in. Brandon is one who will go out of his way to help you get it running right. He has spent plenty of time with me on questions I have had over the years.

@@tacticalpontoon I have used the blue recoil spring from canik, I have used the stock one. I had shot 115, 124, 147 in this gun. I have 3 SFX pistols that take any ammo. I've taken this gun all the way down and cleaned it. I took all the after market stuff off and it blew through it with no stove pipes. I have an SC with the single flute that works well. I'm keeping it on. Just way too many problems with the SFX. When you sell to the public and they shoot 115g and you recommend 124 and they do this, just how clean do you have to have your Canik? These guns shoot very well on there own. I have had conversations with him. You have to come up with something that normal people can shoot with. I wish him the best, it didn't work on my SFX. Thats all I'm saying.

The problem i have with putting a comp on a canik sfx or rival is that the slides are too heavy and there is significant muzzle dip on the second shot (of a double tap) when shooting 9 mm major loads ( 135 gn bullet). Works fine with nato and +p 115 gn loads......

Yes sir. Both sizes have a configuration that's compatible with the Mete pistols.

Is it supposed to be a little tight to screw on when you first receive it ? I was sent a single port gold comp that was in a bad batch, so I sent back and got a replacement and when trying to install the first time it's very hard to turn without lots of force. Any tips? Is there a break in?

It's possible there could be a small build up of Cerakote inside the thread. See if you can get through it by working it with some lubricant. If you can't, we will get you squared away with another. No worries, we will stand by you no matter what.

Does the gold comp match the barrel?

We have a video on our FB page back in January that shows the matchup on the Executive slide. Check it out!

Now that I look at this again... you can't just easily screw this thing on and off multiple times a month if you enjoy going to the range and cleaning your gun every time afterward, huh? Maybe this ain't the thing to get if I'm that type...

Its very easy to uninstall/reinstall and I'm sure hundreds of people do just that every weekend. The Loctite (Vibra-tite now) is a medium strength meaning the set screws can be loosened with a purposeful twist of the allen wrench and the comp can be unscrewed with your hands. For reinstall, just clean up the threads, reapply Loctite (Vibra-tite) and install as normal. Only adds maybe 30 seconds of time to cleaning.
